Their are two excellent documentary series on the BBC Iplayer about the endless conflict - ‘ The Fifty Years War - Israel and the Arabs ‘ and ‘ The Elusive Peace “
Both superb in showing the realities of the whole thing .
Jeremy Bowen’s book “ Six Days - How the 1967 war shaped the Middle East” is also a fantastic reed .

I’m not going to hide. The first statement was clearly tongue in cheek and the second statement says I would if it would tactically remove the Tories. However, as I have said many times, in my constituency the tactical vote is Lib Dem. Of all your faults, lying is not one but I felt you were misconstruing what I said.

Perhaps its a good sign that the apparently beleaguered and stressed looking Starmer will get down to some 'work' if he gets the Downing St tenure !

Libellous accusations? Behave yourself, its a football message board where people also debate, disagree and argue about loads of other topics.

For the third time in the last 24 hrs, I will again state that I think it is horrific what is currently happening in Gaza. I am not pro or against Israel or Palestine, in fact I wish they could just divide the land into two parts and be done with it, but that just isn't going to happen any time soon.

My issue with your support of Galloway and also constant reference to those dying in Gaza is that it comes across as a very singular point of view. Hamas knew there would be a massive and violent reaction from Israel if they went across the border to murder and take hostage the Israelis, but they still did it. If you have previously commented on this then good for you, I just don't have the time or will power to trawl through every historical comment you have made.

Not sure how religiously motivated it is though. IMO, wars tend to boil down to power... money. Religion used as a tool to achieve it in some cases.
