Antoine Semenyo

This was one of my concerns about players returning from international duty and being unfit for various reasons. Both Mepham and Semenyo returned unfit to play. This was probably down to fatigue and so, caught viruses due to being physically run down after the intense international programme.

Always a concern but semenyo was injured at Luton so not sure the relevance of your comment tbh. International break had nothing to do with it.

You think ? I disagree but who knows but maybe to a all u can eat buffet
I disagree as well. I remember his goal at Blackburn in the 3-1 FA Cup defeat in January 1993. Blackburn finished 4th in the Premier League. He made their defence look like carthorses as he streaked away from them to score.
I thought then he was certain to play at a higher level and by March he was off to Norwich for £500k.

Only screamer I remember at the Manor Ground apart from the Defoe chip was by Chicken George - late 80's.
Yes I was at that game. I recall our crowd giving George some stick. Shouting at George "the games actually started George" and "Wake up George!. Seconds lately he let fly and stuck one in the top corner. Our crowd then sang "There is only one Georgie Lawrence, one Georgie Lawrence. Priceless!

Clearly absolute nonsense as both Mepham and Semenyo started the first game back from the international break against Everton. Semenyo then played against Palace before getting a knock against Luton.
