Antoine Semenyo

Fiorentina player
Foley is clearly prepared to back Gary O’Neil in the transfer window as Bournemouth look to stay out of the relegation places and try to climb the table. It is understood centre-back, left-back, central midfield and attacking reinforcements are on the agenda. Bournemouth were interested in Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo, Club Bruges’ Noa Lang and Fiorentina’s Christian Kouame in the latter stages of the summer transfer window and are hopeful of reigniting their interest in January.
January is set to be a unique month for Bournemouth as they are poised to attack the winter window in a way they have rarely done before, now finally armed with the financial resources to compete with some of their Premier League rivals. Foley has already publicly stated the club are looking to sign at least four new players in January, emphasising the club’s aim to add more quality in the January window in order to get closer to their goal of Premier League survival.

Nor me, I am so inept at twitter, I can't even work out how to read the replies for a clue!

Not sure if serious but just in case, click where the time and date is listed on a tweet. It takes you directly to the individual tweet rather than an account.

Yes Chris, it was serious!

Only just worked out the AS is a reference to both their initials being the same.....

Burnley have inquired about signing Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo.

Bournemouth have also watched the 23-year-old but are not thought to be strongly interested at this stage.

Bristol City value him in the region £12m – even though he is technically out of contract in the summer.

His contract has an option to be extended by a further year.

Semenyo has six caps and a goal for Ghana.

He has scored four goals in 21 Championship appearances so far this term.

This could be a move more neccesary if Manchester United's interest in signing striker Wout Weghorston on loan intensifies.

According to a Twitter post today we are going in with an improved offer for Antoine Semenyo and personal terms no longer an issue.

Then this.

Earlier this week it was reported that Championship rivals Burnley had made an enquiry for the 22-year-old. The Daily Mail claimed that Semenyo was valued at £12m, after his stay at the club was extended by a year after they activated a clause in his contract.

The Clarets aren’t the only club interested, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce said to have put him on a three-man shortlist. Reports from Ghana said that a bid had been submitted from Bournemouth but that was wide of the mark, as they have cooled their interest, as have Crystal Palace.

Semenyo would be a useful addition for cover anyway, regardless of Dom or Moore's or Danjuma's injury status. Given that it sounds as though Dom is going to be out for a while, we absolutely MUST get somebody in for that position.
Think Semenyo is a realistic option for us.

I wonder if any PL clubs have any promising young strikers who would benefit from more game time ?

Doesn't mention what their valuation is? Assume they'll say something like 15 mill, but will end up agreeing on something around 12 mill?

Wonder if they'd be up for a deal involving Dembele (loan/transfer), PEarson (loan/transfer, but we need to sign another midfielder for sure in that case) and Kilkenny (loan, if possible given Stoke loan).

Perhaps even Travers on loan, if we are looking at other keepers?

Could also include Alex Scott

You're determined to get shot of Dembele. Are you his agent?

Would like him , but would he be the next Afobe ?! Can he make the step up?
Maybe he's one for next season ( should we go down) . I think he will sign .. especially if a bid has genuinely been turned down , it will start the ball rolling now ..
