    Championship 23/24

Can't be too many clubs that have bounced straight through from League One to the PL in the modern era. I think Watford did it in the 00s. We came close of course doing it in two Champ seasons.

    Accounts - June 2023

I'd welcome hearing from the Lorient fan(s) we've had on here in recent months, but from what I gather Romain Faivre was a standout player for Lyon last season. Then his performances dropped right off this season (before coming here early). Maybe something to do with Foley buying him for...

    Championship 23/24

West Brom, for the pub! And not as much of a ballache to get to compared with Norwich, Leeds or Hull. I’m sure it’ll one of the big two though.

    Championship 23/24

Leeds v Southampton not a dead rubber, but certainly not what Sky will have been hoping for. Still, it might be a good dress rehearsal for a playoff final?

    Championship 23/24

Great stuff, chuffed for them. Just need to go finish the job now.

    Everton docked 2 more points

PL administration is 9 points, should that happen. Sounds like they've got a backstop against that though thanks to this charge on Moshiri's holdings. Everton have done well to get deductions in this season when the bottom 3 are perhaps weaker than average and the bar to survival lower than...

    Lewis Cook

Cook now has a system and manager getting the very best out of him. No point going back to a manager and style that he and we know is sub optimal for Cook. If Cook was to move anywhere, it should be higher than Wolves (with respect) and to a club playing a high press, aggressive and higher tempo.

    New PL spending rules

Sounds like Man United are putting almost their entire squad up for sale (for the right offers). I'd imagine the eye watering wages they tend to pay will be a stumbling block for any moves. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce96wzkgzpgo

    Yousaf gone now as well.

AFC Bournemouth v Brighton - Sunday 2 pm

My feeling was that if the Solanke 'wrestle' had happened early in the game before all the various handball shouts, it gets given. The ref having turned down various penalty shouts during the game became entrenched in the view he wasn't going to give anything, if he could help it.

AFC Bournemouth v Brighton - Sunday 2 pm

Does seem to be a huge amount of negativity and ill feeling towards De Zerbi, which seems surprising from the outside.

    Dango Ouattara

Surprised he wasn't asked for a ticket check after hurdling the ad hoarding.

    Dango Ouattara

Looks like Dango ended up in the front row of the NS in crossing for Unal’s goal!

    Enes Unal

My only concern about a hypothetical post Dom future of Unal up top and Kluivert behind would be a lack of physicality in holding the ball and holding off defenders. Semenyo certainly adds that from wide, but getting the best out of that as a trio would be a challenge. All for the summer though!

    Dango Ouattara

Very erratic as will ever be the case I suspect, but another shift for the team today.

AFC Bournemouth v Brighton - Sunday 2 pm

I wonder if Zerbi has his eyes elsewhere this summer.

    FAO Stoive BHA

Yeah not sure we’ll be hearing from our occasional Brighton visitors here for a while. Credit to the few in the away end who stayed behind at 3-0 and tried to cheer their team.

    Enes Unal

Could have had a hat trick, typical that he took the hardest chance of the lot with seeming ease! Definitely a player in there.

Ooof that looks threadbare today. Tough game now if it wasn’t already.
