Am I the only one that prefers the side with Stacey in it? Nice to see a player who is genuinely buzzing to be playing for us. Like to see some more signings from league 1 tbh get a bit of that against the odds spirit back.

With the current climate on concussions and link to future brain injuries, we’d be slaughtered in the media if he is picked. And rightly so.

Not only is it the right thing for his health, it’s best for the team too he sits this one out after such a heavy blow

Again, if the money is very good, and we would invest some in a replacement, I wouldn’t be against it.
I like Smith, but he didn’t have a good season (who did though) and defensively is just quite unreliable. Also lost his mojo going forward last season, but don’t really think that’s his fault.

I really like Smith (save for the diving) but given we have Stacey, I would sell for 7m+.

Even so I wouldn’t imagine Burnley offering him much more.
