AFC Bournemouth v Crystal Palace

I think Mike Dean has improved over the last season or two. Before he came across as a posturing, look at me, prat. He does cut out a lot of nonsense when he refs a game though. Zahahaha better watch out!

They’re afraid of the crowd reactions ?
I don't think the crowd would react if the decision is right. We are supposed to be supporters of the sport we love, so why should we be afraid of a right decision been given. I admit I for 1 can be biased, but always applaud a a official that gives a right decision. Even if it against us, refs should not be afraid to give the decision if it is the right one. The job they do is hard enough without the pressure they have to put up with. I for one would not like to be in their shoes, it not as easy as some people think.

It's a sorry situation when we're desperately hoping Francis will be fit to face Zaha. The tumbler will absolutely have him on toast, when he manages to stay upright. I'm not saying Simpson is a better option. Both are terrifying.

Hodgson will surely set up his team to put Zaha running at whoever is playing in that position as much as possible. He'd be stupid not to, and he isn't stupid.

For me, that's where the game will be won and lost. We have to mitigate that somehow, I'm just not sure how. Assuming it goes ahead.

Perhaps we should "do a Watford" and have one player kick Zaha at a time.....

I would say put a player like jeff to sit on zaha and harass him, but obviously there's a yellow card guaranteed there

Can AFCB Break Palace’s Winning Run?

In our last two games the Cherries have played the team in fourth place (Chelsea) and last Saturday the team who are the runaway leaders (Liverpool). This weekend AFCB are back at Dean Court and the visitors are Crystal Palace who occupy a mid table spot. This will be another tough challenge for the Cherries, as Palace have won their last three games 1-0, 0-1, 1-0. But our side have been showing good form of late and have been unlucky not to have had more points.

The Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has just signed a year extension to his contract which was due to end at the end of the season. In the January transfer window Palace signed Cenk Tosun a striker on loan from Everton, but then was injured in training (ACL) and returned to Everton, and will have surgery this week. Since our last meeting back in December, away from home the Eagles have won 1 game (Brighton), they have drawn 4 and lost 2. At home they have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 2.

At Dean Court our encounters with Palace so far in the Premier League have been close games, the Cherries have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 1.
In all league games against Palace at Dean Court, AFCB have Won 22, Drawn 10, Lost 4. In all league games, AFCB have Won 29, Drawn 19, Lost 25.

AFCB Team News
Harry Wilson will be available again after missing the Liverpool game. Also according to the PL injury site both Lloyd Kelly and Josh King are potential returns this weekend. Arnaut Danjuma and David Brooks are back in training.

AFCB Player To Watch
In a game which on paper looks like it will be a low scoring game, if he is fit it will be Josh King who has looked sharp in the games he has played in. On the defensive side it will be our star player Nathan Ake who has been one of our most consistent players in a poor season and he also comes up with an important goal or two.

Crystal Palace Team News
They have only one player reported with an injury, James Tomkins, thigh, but could be available on Saturday.

Crystal Palace Player To Watch
Jordan Ayew has scored 8 goals this season for a team who have not scored more than two goals in a game. More importantly he has scored the only goals in their last two wins by the only goal. Wifried Zaha has 3 goals and 3 assists this season and is always a player to watch and causes defenders problems.

Have you ever been to a football match!?;-)

Francis played right back against him in the last home game against them.

There was only one winner that night and it wasn't Zaha.

I'd be delighted if that happened and send an apology through the ether to SF. I don't see it at this point though. Fingers crossed your thoughts are the right ones.

Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting tomorrow morning regarding future fixtures after Mikel Arteta's positive coronavirus test.

Probably more than you ,I have been a supporter of the cherries since the mid seventies. How about you? What are you trying to say? You don't believe in fair play or you are totally biased? If your are a true sportsman you would want a true & fair outcome to a game .

If your are a true sportsman you would want a true & fair outcome to a game .

In that case, I am certainly NOT a true sportsman.

I want Bournemouth to win. Failing that, I want the result to be true and fair. Failing that, I want Brighton to drop out of the league, Sean Dyche to never speak in public again and altitude sickness remedies available when we play at Newcastle.

But then again, I am a fair weather fan and only started following Bournemouth when we drew Liverpool in the cup.
