Second Sunday Televised Home Game This Season
With the September International break finished, the Cherries fans can look forward to Premier League football again. On the back of two league defeats against teams in the top three, AFCB will want to get back to picking up points and that could start 2 pm on Sunday in the Sky televised home game at Dean Court against Everton (the Toffees). AFCB have a good home record against Everton since we joined the Premier League and at present remain undefeated.
Marco Silva in his first season in charge at Goodison Park saw his team finish in 8th spot, the same position Everton finished the previous season only Silva’s side had 5 more points with 54. In his visit with his team to Dean Court early last season the game had two red cards and a Cherries come back from being two goals down. Richarlison was the first to see red when he was sent off just before half-time in an incident with Adam Smith, the teams went in 0-0 at half-time. The first side to break the deadlock were Everton and Theo Walcott was the scorer. A few minutes later Adam Smith fouled Walcott as he was heading towards goal and was shown the red card, making it 10 players a side. Things became worse for the home team as a few minutes later Michael Keane put Everton 0-2 up with a headed goal. But the Cherries fought back and with 15 minutes of normal time to go, Josh King scored from the penalty spot after a foul from an Everton player. Four minutes later that man for late goals, Nathan Ake equalised and that was that, a point a piece.
Everton were reasonably busy in the Summer transfer market signing seven players and also seeing a number leaving. Those they signed, four are midfielders, Alex Iwobi from Arsenal for £35million, Andre Gomes for £22 million from Barcelona and for undisclosed fees, Jean-Philippe Gbamin from Mainz and Fabian Delph from Manchester City. Striker Moise Kean from Juventus also for an undisclosed fee. Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on a free after his contract with Huddersfield Town expired. Defender Djibril Sidibe on loan from Monaco. Amongst those that have left are James McCarthy, Idrissa Gueye, Ademola Lookman and Phil Jagielka.
The Toffees have had a reasonable start to this season with two wins, a draw and a defeat. In their two away games they had a goalless draw against Crystal Palace and were beaten 2-0 at Aston Villa. They are in 6th place with 7 points, thanks to two home wins, first against Watford 1-0 and then the last visitors to Goodison Park were Wolverhampton Wanderers, beaten 3-2.
In our four games against Everton at Dean Court, there have been 14 goals, so the Sky viewers may be lucky and see a few more, hopefully most in the opposition net!
In our league games at home against the Toffees, there have been W 2, Draws 2, L 0, GF 8, GA 6. In all competitions, AFCB have W 2, D 2, L 8.

Adam Smith was the latest to our long injury list when he went off in our last game at Leicester. Chris Mepham playing for Wales is the latest to join that injury list with a muscular injury. No news re injuries of our other players on international duty, so hope they will all be fit for Sunday. On the positive front, Lewis Cook played in a friendly against QPR and Lloyd Kelly is getting near to a return.
AFCB Player To Watch
After not starting or even getting minutes for England, but breaking his scoring ‘drought’ at Leicester in our last game, hope that will now spur Callum Wilson on to score more goals for our team, pity he has had to wait longer for the next game because of the international break.
Everton Team News
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is out with a thigh injury. Everton also have had a number of players away on international duty, but no news re injuries.

Richarlison down the right, gave Wolves all sorts of problems in their last league game and netted a brace as well.
