Why would he make snide comments in the press when he would be far more likely to tell them in person? If it was supposed to be a dig at them, it would have been more obvious.
I just hope your right, that would show us as a progessive club! Something must happen sooner or later.I think this line from the article is key:
"It's tough to recruit players when we're playing in the stadium that we are," Howe said. "The training ground, as beautiful as it is, the size, the lack of space - again that's a difficulty for us."
My guess (and hope) is that he's priming the pump for an announcement from the team very soon. If the club has any say in this (though it's possible they're at the mercy of some level of government), they will want to make a splashy announcement before, or at the beginning of, the summer transfer window. It would be a critical bargaining chip to be able to show prospective signings the designs for the new stadium (knowing it is approved and moving ahead), and to show that work is already underway on the training facility. Otherwise, we're still just a tinpot club with a popular manager.

I doubt a local non footballing resident who gets his drive / road blocked every other saturday would listen to Eddie Howe......he ain't going to fix it for them, charm offensive or not.
Can't see another season of receiving insane amounts of money is actually that relevant as if income increases so do the outgoings, it is not like we are banking the majority like WBA did when yoyoing between Pl and Championship. We are hardly breaking even, as the TV money increases so do the demands of the players, without a wage cap it will sadly never change....so when do the owners roll the dice?
after another 120 million is in the coffers for the next PL season?
...but that is what I am saying about rolling the dice...we may have to cut our cloth accordingly, and yes we could go down, but then we would sell players like Ake, Begovic ,King, Wilson Ibe and Fraser and reap some rewards for them. At least we would have the infrastructure to see that we could increase our fanbase and income. At some point we must build a better stadium or we will perish back to League One pretty soon without having managed our wealth in the interests of securing AFC Bournemouth...one thing is certain and that is that one season we will go down...we need some legacy from our time in the PL?Can't see another season of receiving insane amounts of money is actually that relevant as if income increases so do the outgoings, it is not like we are banking the majority like WBA did when yoyoing between Pl and Championship.
