What a disgrace sellout Rick Parry and all those tossers in charge of football in this country, letting the zionist american vulture capitalists steal english football.
 
...it was the obvious next step from the big clubs in this country, so am not surprised (only that it has taken this long!)

why not cut out the middle man and form a global league including clubs from those bastions of football like USA, China and Russia..

We can progress our game from a new landscape and with more homegrown talent and connection with the fans who actually go to support their teams not watch them from armachairs and bars via satelite TV..

So off you pisz Manchester Red Devils...Sky Blue City...London Gunners...City Spurs...Liverpool Beatles....Knightsbridge Blues....and leave the rest of us to keep the true history of the game alive!!

This post started well and then got really weird.

As an aside, nobody is stealing anything. English football goes deeper than any top 6 club owner could possibly comprehend. English football would be absolutely fine if Liverpool and Man United disappeared and took their global support tomorrow. It would be different, but it would be quite fine.
 
There's no way this doesn't damage the EPL if their 'main' teams are all competing every midweek in a European fixture. The EPL would eventually become the League Cup to them if the money is more in the European league.

The problem is I can never really see it as you miss out on Asia which has been such a huge part of the EPL success. Nobody is watching games at 3am when they've got work the next day every week.

Not trying to steal anything? Last week these US owners and investors tried to take charge of the PL and bribe everyone else. Now they want a Super League to replace the European Cup. Get real mate.

Enlighten you about what? Where the matches in the proposed European Super League will be played? Probably everyone outside Europe - USA, Canada, South America Saudi Arabia, Japan, China etc

Or enlighten you about the Zionist purpose and cause? Enlighten yourself mate
 
So where are these break away clubs getting their young ,up and coming players from? The clubs that are left behind should tell them that we don't recognise the new body and that we won't do business with them. They will have to transfer players between themselves or rely on their academies.
Eventually all the best young players will be plying their trade in their home countries and the so called big clubs will shrivel and die . If they ever want to return they should start at the bottom of the pyramid.
 
Be realistic. Would a young player stay in the EFL on £20k/week, tops, or switch codes even if there's no going back to collect £100k/week?

They'd still hoover up all the talent.

It’s all very depressing really. The thing that makes this sport great is the ability to dream that your club can somehow defy the odds and make it to the very top, no matter how unlikely that might be. The moment you start creating ‘closed’ competitions in which only a select few have limited access is the moment that football is essentially saying, ‘this is the pecking order and it’s not changing.’ All the money will be in this competition, the rich will continue to get richer and nobody will ever be able to challenge the select chosen few. Nobody will want to invest in clubs anymore, because why would you if you have no hope of ever challenging at the very top? The Man Uniteds of this world are s*****g their pants that the likes of Wolves, Newcastle ect are getting ready to swoop in and threaten their ‘market share’ and their business minded foreign owners are determined to do whatever it takes to protect their financial interests. Because that’s what this is about, money. Money has completely corrupted the game at the very top and the game as we know it I fear is slowly going to wither away and die due to greed and need for power.

Except it sadly probably won't. The Prem has been mostly about greed and people lapped it up..
 
We have gradually seen the football we love being spoilt.

The FA Cup from the ‘minnows’ of non league right through to the ‘giants’ of the PL all taking part in one of the most famous Cups in the domestic game in the world. The Cup Final once a big occasion with the build up starting in the morning right up to the 3 pm kickoff. Now not sure it has the same ‘magic’now.

This news today with a super league is again the Big Boys forgetting about everyone else.

With the lockdown we had, I think it made people think more about what is really important in life and if these teams want to do their own thing, good riddance to what is all about money and not about the football fans.
