European Super League

All very well signing a petition....... but will any of those clubs be punished ? Points deducted or banned from European competition for a season (oh the irony)....
No , thought not

World Cup every two years now, because "It is important to review how the global game is structured, which should include whether the current four-year cycle remains the optimum basis for how football is managed both from a competition and a commercial perspective as well as overall football development."?

Good for fans, bad for clubs and players. It's exactly the opposite of what the ESL lot would want.

Surely they couldn't keep 48 teams though every 2 years, what a snoozefest the group stages will be every time.

As far as UEFA are concerned it appears they’ve kissed and made up because they withdrew. The 3 listed are still supposed to be committed to the plan.
Only pulled out because of the backlash of fans......and get away Scott free....that's why I dislike the PL.......let's wait for the next smaller club to get into trouble and get a points deduction :shake:

"Modernising" means an attempt to get football as a sport to subsidise these three clubs and only them.

They each needed the €300 million+ from JP Morgan right now to partially fill the black holes in the finances of these profligate clubs.

They are desperate and still clutching at straws. Here is a suggestion. Why don't they apply to join their chums in the soccer league in America?
