Just read the minutes.
I find it very strange that the club wasn't aware of delays etc for fans entering the stadium until the question was raised. There are enough official people wandering about including jobsworth pre match to be able to guage what is going on. Perhaps jobsworth ought to go to some away matches to see how other clubs manage efficiently.
On the theme of jobsworth the imposed decisions on flasks, brollies etc were not about communication but the decisions themselves compared to other clubs. Such issues should be standard across all grounds eg no mention of no brollies at Villa this weekend.

Another situation where the club has not just missed the point but do not appreciate the mood of the fans.

They are just standard management speak responses.

Blake once said it was impossible for DC to have rail seating.

From the away fans guide for our trip to Arsenal.

"You are also welcome to bring refreshments – snacksand soft drinks brought in small plastic bottles
or flasks – to Emirates Stadium. "

Jim I suggest this is the common sense approach. I can't find any comment either way on brollies it seems AFCB is out of step with other grounds.

Common sense isn't always common

It's all about Money now and any questions asked will have answers linked to Money.

As a Fan now you are essentially a Customer only....in any terms that matter to the Owners and their Marketing agents.

Even Non - League now is going headlong into the abyss of Money.
Football is better as an Amateur concept.

Finally, someone had the guts to say this! for the 700th time.

you're not wrong brian, we live in very capitalist times - our whole society, not just football, is run like a business, absolutely obsessed about money, to the detriment of other values. short of moving to another country where they have different values, theres f all we can do about it as individuals. I guess we all deal with it in different ways - some (the majority) love it, I try to distance myself from it mentally and drink too much as a coping mechanism, and you bang on about it all the time, which to some in incredibly tedious!

100% with you Brian. We're in late stage captitalism now. I'll be first in line to sign up when the revolution starts.

Especially if you're leading it. "He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!"

Incredibly 'tedious'...I might be...when I read back my post history..omg...that's so so bloody true...cringingly so !
But when it all implodes one day....Forum veterans will be saying. 'that obnoxious, boring little cnut in Cornwall was incredibly accurate in his doom- laden asides about the evolving game and it's culture ! :cuppa:
