Harry Arter

Good luck Harry and your family, wish you all, all the best for the future.
Quite a football story, £4000 transfer from non league to a perennial struggle of a League 1 club. Loaned out to Carlisle, ended up a Premier League player, full Irish international, an integral part of a Championship winning team. Yes, temperamental, argumentative, combative, fully committed. Sometimes to his, his team mates , the opposition, the refs, costs. Plus all the off field grief he and his loved ones have had to endure.
A story of Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Brilliant that. I used to think my favourite Arter memory was his goal against Middlesbrough. Now I am not so sure ....

Red card for Arter with two yellows in two minutes for Fulham against Cardiff, where he was on loan last season.

Just feels about the most Arter thing I can imagine.

Edit: It seems the second was for dissent. Oh Harry...

He could be considered for the Republic of Ireland international diving squads for that one.

Silly thing to do when we know the skills that he has.

You see so many players guilty of defensive diving but it’s rarely punished. Quite rightly it was worthy of a second yellow. Eventually we’ll see refs give penalties for defenders diving in their own box
