About time we had a President of Business..... little old Bournemouth, hold on tight and await take off :cowboy:

But we did, we did!

We had a President of the Business of Business whose business it was to busy himself with all kinds of business. He was so successful that he went on to many top executive positions with a multitude of businesses.

Surely you remember Alastair Saverimutto?

I thought that as soon as I saw the title.

I trust this being a 'slight' upgrade ;)

Well, a first glance one might think so. However, I managed to get a sneak preview of the upcoming biography of Alastair Saverimutto entitled, A Life in Elite Sport. These extracts are from chapter 2.

"I specialise in turning around sports businesses. When I took over at Bournemouth the club were languishing at the bottom of the league and the finances were in a perilous state. I rapidly devised a plan to save the business from my hotel room on the 5th floor of the Bath Hotel on the sea front as well as other renowned hotels."

"Without taking a penny in remuneration from the club, I single-handedly drove the business to a place where it had never been before. The rest is history. I can't take the whole credit, there were some other minor players, but, undoubtedly, I laid the foundation for the rise to the Premier League in record time."

"So, another success, yet another job well done. It was time to move on to the next challenge."

Ohhh yes.....the king of bullsh!t.....whatever happened to him :hmmm:

I guess we shouldn't be surprised at all by this news, but it is still somehow jarring to read those words when talking about our little football team. Things like "SVP's" "ranked Top 5 in Team Revenue" etc. I get this stuff all day long in my work life but it's all a bit Wall St for my personal tastes.

From his LinkedIn profile..:

Senior level results-driven leader with exceptional knowledge of revenue generation and marketing activation in professional sports and collegiate athletics. A track record of driving revenue and creating winning long-term business partnerships.

Strong skills in negotiating stadium lease agreements, naming-rights partnerships, broadcast rights agreements and multi-media rights holder contracts. History of surpassing budgets in all revenue producing areas (season ticket sales, donations, corporate partnerships, suites and media sales).

Different emphasis. Say hello to Cherry Share 3!

A lot of experience in growing UFC revenues…surely a new contract for Jeff incoming to exploit his untapped potential?

Harry Redknapp had a history of surpassing budgets in most areas IIRC
