Junior Stanislas

Love to see the form junior could sustain if kept fit for a whole season. Could even rival josh king for goals!
 
Such an intelligent player and perhaps the only one in our squad capable of taking a decent set piece. Hopefully we can get him fully fit for next season as I feel he is an under appreciated part of our attack.

Did you see any of his free kicks against Leicester ?

Yes I did. They were all rubbish. Unfortunately I've also seen the rest of our players take set pieces....

Earlier in the season when we were looking to improve our hit woodwork totals, junior looked very dangerous from free kicks but seems to have lost that part of his game, maybe just lack of confidence?
 
It's fine margins with set pieces. Although as I said above his free kicks at Leicester were rubbish, there was still some thought into what he was doing. 50cm above or around the wall and they'd be perfect.

Most of our other FK takers specialise in the pass back or random whack and hope for the best!
 
There have been numerous games this season where the only player capable of creating a chance or making a pass through the lines was Junior Stanislas.
 
It's funny as he was poor when he first joined in championship..bit like the josh king thread! He's my son's favourite player now.
 
Will a 'keeper have the confidence to stand still next time?

Excellent to see him coming back into form with a run in the side following injury.
 
He was my MoM - certainly in the first half anyway. Amazing how important he is to us when you think how he came here as a cast off and struggled to get in our side for over a season. He will be key to our recovery.

 
He is our only winger with real vision and intelligence. Pugh has a bit and tricks, Fraser is head down and run and Ibe....thought he had vision against Brighton but not really seen it before or since.

Stan is generally the best winger now and let’s hope he keeps fit.
 
Junior is a key player for us. Play better when he is on pitch.
Very concerned about his injury.
Anyone got any info on how bad it is?
 
Physio site says groin strain with no return date for Stanislas.

Same for Afobe with a knock.

King out with back injury expected return date 4th November, the same date for Fraser who is out with a knock.
