He played far too deep today. There was a huge gap between our midfield and forwards, no one linked the play together. Would have liked to see an extra central midfield player like Gosling in there to allow Cook to get forward more. He is young and will get better. Brooks was off the pace too. These players have their normal preparation and fitness ruined when they go on international duty.

More of a Jack Wilshere clone. When did Wilshere last have a shot at goal or score?

Pretty sure Wilshere hit the woodwork umpteen times for us. Not sure if that's classed as a shot at goal in the modern game.

I mentioned Ibe because he gets criticised on here for every poor game he has... yet he has affected more games than Lewis ever has....you could go though our squad and think of games where each of them have been outstanding....can you say the same for Lewis?....he gets outshone by every midfielder he plays alongside or against.

Ibe is the scapegoat ( unfairly in my opinion) followed by Surman then Gosling. Lot's of our 'fans' seem intent on seeing the negative, when there's loads of positives.

Not sure it’s “everyone”, Lewis is very popular and rightly so.
