Willian didn't deserve that...dubious hand- ball...ok may have just touched it so then a Pen ...but not intentional...so why send him off ?
A Manu player wouldn't have met that fate in the same circumstance.

looking at it I think whatever team done that handball the result would of been the same red card and pen

It's in the rules Brian. Denial of a goal or obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence is a straight red card.

Crap rules ..needs revising....
...and the one Liverpool got against us was virtually part of his shoulder...not exactly a functional hand movement.
Big clubs always get the good rubs with hand-balls !

Absolutely this. The problem is this type of behaviour drips down into grassroots youth football - see it every Sunday. No player should intimidate the ref as Mitro did today. It’s hard enough to recruit referees into youth football, we should do everything we can to protect them. Lengthy ban please!
 
just saw the highlights, wild reaction and he deserves a suspension. However, this could be curtailed if only the rule that only a Captain could approach the ref was enacted/enforced. The players have no disincentive so it is just a matter of time before it boils over.

That said, the other side of the coin also applies. Ref makes an obvious poor call, player mouths off, player gets a yellow. Level of officiating is an ongoing problem.

At times it's s hit OC, but, it's been so much of our lives, you have to roll with it.

In any other walk of life incompetence isn't a justification for violence.
 
We have absolutely no excuses Vs Fulham now, that’s their two best attackers out. If we can’t beat them under these circumstances then we don’t deserve to stay up frankly.

Perhaps, although they only seem to send off goal line cases because distance to goal is relevant in DOGSO cases.

Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).
