Non - Brexit

Its needs time druss, early days yet. The Timmys of this world can now focus on a career in nursing or medicine without having the door shut in their face as thousands have done in the past. If you don't know someone who wanted to join the profession but couldn't get in due to past Government policy I would be extremely surprised.

Tbf it's a global market so UK trained people are as likely to sod off to sunnier places once they get their badges.

I see it wont be reciprocal any more unless they can earn more than £50K a year . I'm not sure of May's assertion that anything below £50K a year is low skill mind.

Wages are falling in real terms this year SDD. So not really?

That's just wrong druss - see link. Even if it weren't you are responding to two articles that literally spell out the point I'm making on an individual industry basis, which is a much better indicator than looking at UK wide stats. It's fairly straightforward - shortage of workers = wage growth; increase in availability of cheap labour = wage stagnation.

I know you don't want it to be true but demand and supply determine price.

UK wage growth fastest for nearly 10 years - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45875599

I can see why. My Mate in the Armed forces got his first pay rise in 7 years.
I can see how the figures have been manipulated when you know of facts like this.[/QUOTE]

There's obviously all sorts of factors in play for national statistics, which is why I said the articles that point to industry specific examples are more useful. They are pretty clear on what a reduction in available labour means for wages.

So where are we? This is where I am....( Caveat Alarm Bellium....I've been to the Pub AND Library)
Okey Dokey..strap yourselves in!

After Trafalgar..that was the Sea Bit .this the Land Stuff!

Napoleons Continental System .as he himself called it.. wasn't working...it was in effect unenforcable - in them days of course our leaders knew how to grow a set of Swingers below the waist..(.sorry Theresa and with respect.) and didn't really buy into it ...but Germany was feeling the cost very keenly !

S##t !..I've lost my projection..Dooby dooby do...

Oh yeah... Political discontent was a'rising in Germany and never really abated..culminating in their upgrading of organizational skills in the next century!
Lots of Stuff in between....Industrial revolutions and the like....Brunel and his Bridges , Steam engines, and all that..but essentially the countries of Europe ignored Nappers' bullying and just got on with life.
Tbf ..he was quite a leader but a W#nker too...he died pulling his Bone Apart!
Empires were maintained....later to crumble. Same as now!

Well that changed quickly. 3 months ago wages were lower than inflation...

Edited....just seen it was a one off rise in public pay. So wages are still growing less than inflation. So going down....

One off or not it's a fact. It's also a fact that I've provided much more specific evidence to back my point up and said twice that it is a better indication than economy wide stats. Don't let that get in the way of you saying "it's a one off" and thinking it proves something.
