Non Hampshire cricket

Jeez, that was so nervy. Timing was immaculate. I was constantly checking the RADAR for weather and at 16:30, I thought if we don't get an innings win by 1700, we're not going to make it.

Absolute peach of a ball, to take that final wicket (although I thought Abbas had a decent shout for LBW shortly before)

6d Special on at the 6d Tap now. 4.6% and a wonderful beer.

'If he had failed to take the wicket that very delivery, the game would almost certainly have been a draw such was the force of the deluge.'

Southamptonshire will today be hoping for a great, and hopefully successful, effort from Northamptonshire! Going well so far, leading by 222, and giving their bowlers a lead to defend.

Northants need to stay at the crease for as long as possible, the pitch seems to be holding up so Surrey will fancy a run chase. Lead of 230 so far.

Kent finish 20-3. Could they ? 2 of the wickets were nightwatchmen though.
23 wickets in a day is mad, is the pitch that bad or is the batting poor on both sides.

Do they still deduct points for a sub-standard pitch? Occasionally that was down to great bowling and poor batting.

Malcolm Marshall bowling about 18 concecutive overs off a short run against Somerset, who needed 80ish to win at Dean Park wasn't it? Finished in two days but no points deduction.
