MPs are due off on their hols from 22nd July when Parliament shuts for summer.

How about, for as long as any covid restrictions remain in place, MPs keep sitting and Parliament continues daily life. No summer holiday until all restrictions are lifted.

That ought to concentrate a few minds on the new July 19th date.
