Classics -
Only Fools
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
The Young Ones
Ever Decreasing Circles

Newer
Father Ted
Spaced
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Derry Girls
The Office

Others just missed out but still brilliant - Frasier, Game on (a better Friends), Kath & Kim (Aussie sitcom - very good), Extras, After Life, Teachers is probably a comedy drama?

For every bloke that's still got a lingering bit of teenager in them

Inbetweeners
its makes you cringe, but how they exaggerate characteristics of teenage boys and their associated behaviour, wrapping them up into 4 close mates, is brilliant

South Park
BrassEye / The Day Today
Monty Pythons Flying Circus
Mighty Boosh
Mitchel and Web Look/Sound
Harry Enfield and Chums / Harry and Paul
Community
Archer

Mary Whitehouse Experience
Fawlty Towers

Please Sir

Rising Damp

4 sublime actors...great casting to get them together...
Leonard Rossiter, the star, was apparently difficult to work with - a demanding perfectionist. Gold.

Richard Beckinsale had everything needed for comedy.. the timing and the ability to express mood in switching from happy to sad and back so rapidly. Such a sad loss at a young age.

Frances de la Tour...strange mixture of frumpy, elegant and incredibly sexy all rolled together, as Miss Jones.
Crazily talented lady.
Her voice and movements were something else !

Don Warrington, a Trinidadian by birth but brought up in Newcastle , son of a politician...played the character Phillip Smith....I felt it was he that brought it all together....many of the scenes were built around Phillip, just about the sanest of the vastly different foursome. Much of the dialogue centered on his character would surely not happen today !
Excellent serious actor too.

Juat a few in no particular order

Frasier
The Big Bang Theory
Phoenix Nights
OFAH
Cheers
Dad's Army

Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Dads Army, Allo Allo are obvious classics.

For a newer punt (and it's not everyone's cuppa tea) I love Friday Night Dinner. Partly because I see a bit of myself in the character Martin Goodman, and more worryingly my wife see's it too.

1. Only Fools & Horses

Not in any particular order.

Faulty Towers
Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister
Porridge
The Two Ronnies
One Foot In The Grave
Dad’s Army
Auf Wiedersehen Pet

Can't believe noone's mentioned the pinnacle of comedy which is obviously the IT crowd. Black books too from the Graham Linehan trilogy. Motherland for anyone with kids who's ever had to deal with school dropoff and the joys of meeting other parents. Catastrophe another worthy series. Alan Partridge!
