Non-Wildlife

We are such a pussy nation. Oh we couldn't possibly reintroduce bears and wolves that were once native here that were hunted to extinction because we're phucking cowards. Embarrassing how cowardly people in this country are. Look at America ffs they have farmers but the natural world levels itself out

If you have an atlas, just remind yourself how big the US is.

All categories of wildlife are declining—in many cases dramatically. More than 1,600 U.S. species are already listed under the federal Endangered Species Act, more than 150 U.S. species have already gone extinct, and nearly 500 additional species have not been seen in decades and may be extinct.

There used to be millions of buffalo on the great American plains until the 'brave' white man decided to kill them all in order to starve the native population.

The population back then was a little bit less and there wasn't the demand for space.

Yes have to agree. Idea of going fir a walk with family, and wondering if you'd encounter and have to wrestle with a bear or hungry pack of wolves would likely make me a bit anxious lol :D

As you say, US and wild spaces are so vast, it's relatively easy to avoid such beasts, in comparison to UK.

Unfortunately, humankind continues to grow.

We had a pair of Lapwings here at work which were being constantly dive bombed by the local crows but valiantly fought back against overwhelming odds, sad that, I said to a woman in the office why's that she said those bloody birds of prey should be shot for attacking those poor crows, its hard work some times isn't it.
