What’s with the awful clappers ?

Pre requisite of portraying yourself as a modern day family friendly premier League club is to have ' clappers' . Bloody awful things, club prints off 10,000 of the buggers every home game at God only knows what expense financially and environmentally so we can watch them blow around the pitch and piss everyone off with their awful 'tappy' racket. They are pointless. However, I'm sure that fellow who owns Forest Green Rovers would be able to do something useful with them, like build a paper stadium ??
