Well chums it’s Christmas Eve.
Are you all ready for the big day?
I sincerely hope so!
Christmas is tomorrow.
In the meantime let’s open our Yuletide Advent Calendar window.
And as ever, we can now look at the traditional AFCB Nativity scene:
View attachment 12799
Our nativity is based in an 18,500 all seater spanking new stable in King’s Park with marketing, shepherding & innkeeper suites.
Mary and Joseph stoop over the baby Jesus.
The reason being that they are a tad elderly.
Yes Joseph is portrayed by 79 year old Bill Foley and Mary by his wife Carol.
Baby Jesus moans & cries in his manger.
He is of course being played by little Adam Smith.
(Souvenir manger & AFCB crested swaddling cloth available at club superstore for an amazing price of £32.99).
The shining star this year is Dominic Solanke, shooting arrows of light in the wintery sky.
(Arrows on special offer at club shop 15% off at £14.99 each).
The 3 wise men who followed that star brought gifts of an umbrella, a flask and a rucksack larger than A4 size.
They unfortunately have been barred and therefore not allowed into the stable.
Anyone seen the shepherds?
Darren Randolph and Ryan Fredericks were supposed to be portraying these characters but seem to have completely disappeared, along with the sheep and their wages.
(Cute AFCB children’s lamb toys available now for an incredible £23.99 each at the club superstore).
Unfortunately the donkey played by Richard Hughes appears to be relieved of his duties so we actually have no ass.
The cow keeps moving backwards all the time so is extremely hard to see. Mind you seeing as the cow is being played by Lloyd Kelly there is no surprise there.
(Special limited edition Lloyd Kelly livestock dolls at a mouthwatering £17.99 each!)
The choir consisting of the AFCB marketing team enthral worshippers with carols such as:
Jingle Tills
Oh Little Shop of Bethlehem
We three Ka-chings
Despite all this The Nativity brings comfort to us all. And as a cry of Nonny’s ‘Red Army’ fills up the night skies we think of those we love and those we wish were still with us.
We all leave with everyone present knowing a new king has been born.
Glory Glory Andoni Iraola!
Tomorrow is Christmas Day and I shall be back for the last day of our calendar to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
