Transfer needs with a month to go

Foley said he wants to be playing in europe. This is the type of player we should be going for or does he want to be forever tinpot.

Yes, woukd love to see us signing him of course, but when a players linked with inter, man u, Chelsea, napoli etc for around 40 to 50 mill and given his general rep around him, he's probably unrealistic for a club like us.

He may not be well known name for many English fans, but he's firmly regarded as well on his way to likely being a world class cb in the near furure in the wider football world.

Two down, two to go. Great stuff. Colour me impressed.

Next up, that older head LB and loan CM. However, I suspect the club may have other plans as I've got a sneaky feeling they're going for a permanent CM. No idea what the plan is at LB.

I'm much happier that we've got an obvious left and right back in Kerkez and Aarons. Still not an ideally balanced squad but it's better. We can safely start the season being in the mix. Just have to hope Lewis Cook can hold midfield for us by himself.

A defensive midfielder would be nice though.

I think they/we will rely on Kelly as a make shift left back as back up.
We still need a midfield defensive minded player.
Or maybe the manager doesn’t see it that way.
What ever I can’t imagine we have much more to spend with FFP rules , unless we gave an outgoing.
Remember Waz has stated Biling is off to The Hammers and he knows it all.

I can live with that, as long as we keep Philip.

As for FFP, it's a complicated beast. It might not bite us that hard this season but, unless we do bank a big sale (£50m+) over the next couple of years we may find ourselves hamstrung by it.

Agree. Suspect AFCB are virtually banking on a Kerkez, Scott, Traore, maybe Solanke getting a 40-50m move in the next couple of years.

Completely unnecessary. You post here more frequently than I do too so not sure why you are questioning my social life.
You stated that you go to football for the game and not to socialise. I was wondering if there was a change and romance was in the air.

I'd like to know how Alex Crook is a known presenter on talksport representing southern clubs. He blushes whenever he has to talk about a smaller club like that chucky doll.
He was born in Pompey and supports Utd, he's like all those plastic npc's who support utd in this area. I respect MK Dons fans more than southern United fans the lowest of them all.

Not actually sure if we're after a 'defensive mid' or a Lerma replacement. It looked like we wanted the chap from Fiorentina in addition to Scott.

I think we do need a holding player to challenge Cook (or be ahead)

Given the money already spent I’d not be surprised or even disappointed if we fill our remaining gaps with loanees. If we sell one or two then maybe that changes the dynamics. Lowe presumably will depart - for a nominal fee or even a free if wages are a big consideration. I’m not at all convinced that Kelly - Billing or Moore are for sale and I’d be delighted if they all stayed. If I’m wrong then any of those will command a decent fee to be reinvested. Cover at RB could be a Fredericks like (apart from the injury history of course) signing. Midfield a try before you buy option and maybe a young hungry striker from a top 4 side for development. Maybe keep some money in the kitty for January if the need arises or an opportunity comes about.
