Everton v AFC Bournemouth - Sunday 2.15 pm

That was a shame. Looked good for much of the game. This ref doesn't do red cards. None for 23 games. We have had some refs who book for a first foul. I thought Everton got away with a lot today.

Like others on here, I am fairly relaxed about points. 9 points off bottom 3 mid January. Would have snatched your hand off at the start of the season for that.

Was it me or did Ake have some strange moments?
He had a few moments, young Ake but then he stopped one on the line. Andre Gomez should have been red carded....

Need to score 1st half.defanatly s penalty 1st half on Brookes. Why do we go to sleep 2nd half for 20 mins? Everton were shite. Do well to win again this season. Writing is on the wall.Up the Cherries

It's still there, you can see it. Just need to catch a break now. I still don't have any worries as it will come.

Everton can count themselves very, very fortunate today. How their fans were moaning at the ref is beyond me, they should be sending him Christmas cards for the rest of his life for letting them finish that with eleven men.
I think the ref was scared because of all the booing...almost like he's dealing with a top 4 club....

We were awful 2nd half, painful viewing. Might just scrape safety due to there being 3 worse teams
I hope so! I have heard a lot of talk about us being too good for the drop but our results at the moment say a total different story, statistically we are currently the second worst team in the league over the last 11 games. In my eyes we are not too good for relegation until we start putting points on the board.

....we just need a win to lift confidence up a bit...2-0 flatters them but hopefully we can make things right next week...It is defending that we need to improve from midfield to the back four...and Moss needs to work on Bego to command his area better he is a big lad but doesn’t use his height to meet crosses
Well it does flatter them. A bit like Wolves second goal flattered them.

And yet over the calendar year of 2018 we were the seventh best side in the land.

Anyone would think current form could be down to the current fixture list being top heavy...

And injuries, being off-colour, fatigue, etc.

Truth is, we have pretty much mortgaged our fine start, and still have a tough run ahead. Agree that there will be lots of opportunities in March, April, May, and we will easily avoid bottom three-itis. Looking forward to getting some points out of next three starts.

Also, as noted above, Callum is a very valuable component and with what we have been seeing, selling him on becomes a much harder decision.

Worth remembering that when King first came and took over leading the line after Wilson's first injury, it took him six games or so before he became truly effective in the role. However, from then on he was an absolute menace there.

Since Callum has come back he's been asked to a play deeper role and whilst never as effective as he was furthest forward he's done pretty well there. If Callum is out or off, I would hope after a few games we start to see the old King emerge.

In which case, PL defences beware!

Result could have been very different. Looking at it with rose specs Kings early toe poke could of gone through Pickford 1-0 Brooks hits post 2-0 could of been coasting Brooks pen shout and Gomes totting up process enough to be sent off twice along with foul on Lerma in injury time (we slaughtered them)
Wishing you all a splendid evening gentleman.
Roll on Sat for more of the same.

It's only really the injury situation that got the bad run rolling.
You can measure that against the 4-0 at Watford....and what Watford have done since then with hardly any injuries.
