Aaron Ramsdale

I certainly wouldn't consider Travers above Ramsdale in the pecking order. Ramsdale is very highly rated, England Keeper with some fantastic performances for them. No doubt will be our No2 within the next two years and pushing for the No1 spot- if he continues developing of course.

Travers also looks like a decent prospect, but Ramsdale needs gametime more, which would explain leaving him as third choice.

Keep us up to date on his progress Cockbeard (y)
Really hard to judge a keeper when he doesn't get an extended run in the team. Hopefully that's exactly what he'll get at Wimbledon. We'll soon be faced with the problem of replacing Boruc ( I'd imagine ) and we need to know whether we will be looking to buy someone in or whether Ramsdale can come back and become our new number two.
Certainly think that he might even make a claim for number 1 this time next year if this loan spell is successful. I like Begovic but not entirely convinced on him if I'm honest and neither are alot of people I speak too

Went for a few drinks, didn't watch match but a mate did. Mark was well chuffed. He was worried beforehand, previous keeper was Millwall loanee, and it seems Neil Harris threw his toys out of the pram for some reason and recalled all his players who were out. Ramsgate lacking experience, no competitive games, only 20 years old. Them facing a relegation battle need old heads and experience hardened players

Two cracking saves in the first half hour changed his mind on that. Surprisingly commanding for a kid, good distribution, length on kicks was huge, fed the backline with confidence despite them not knowing him yet. He worried as Chesterfield got relegated, but I said I'm glad of that in the sense that at least Aaron was actually getting experience not just standing around at a club where he'll never face a shot

Too marks from Mark, really spun his early scepticism around, if they stay up Aaron won't have to buy a drink in Kingston for a while

Thanks for the report CB. Really glad he has started well and hope it continues. As mentioned above, Boruc‘s inconsistency might see him become our number two GK sooner than he thought !

No problem, second hand info but he's always been pretty switched on so yay. Doubt I'll have one every week but will keep my eyes on, I don't arrange to meet Mark we just share a local

Tense finish...thought AR could have done better with the West Ham second goal...but hope they hang in!
