This is why I think there's a genuine case to allow loans similar to old system. Yes it sucks if you sign a player on loan for the season and after four good performances the parent club comes back in for him, but it's pretty easy to do short term loans as well, for players coming back from injury, or youngsters who you think are almost ready but not quite

One month loans could work, to prevent parent clubs abusing this by structuring season loans as nine "one month" loans only allow two consecutive to a single club, maybe force parent clubs to pay all wages and not accept a loan fee if for month loan

You can't prevent clubs from charging fees one way or another.
E.g., the "fee" for Clyne's loan was added on to the price of Solanke (supposedly).
I also think the squad uncertainty would be a nightmare for managers.

On loan until January....so I assume that is for him to see how it goes out there....maybe a permanent transfer on the cards for that window?

I don't think we should be gloating too much - obviously as last season went on, his form dipped badly. But when he arrived here, think most were happy and he was very solid for much of his time.

Unsure that he should be mocked for not wanting his young kids to witness abusive & foul language, particularly when it's directed towards him.
I can't imagine many fathers would be cool with the idea that their son/daughter witness Dad receiving verbal abuse from masses of fans. Just saying.
