Crystal Palace v AFC Bournemouth

Absolutely clueless performance...we changed nothing about our game when they went down to ten men...we look toothless and if we can’t correct this we are going down!...slow play predictable build up and nothing in the attacking third...
 
Concerning that we only created one chance of note over 90 mins against 10 men. Our play is so safe. Everybody holding their positions and passing to the free man. No forward runs off the ball from our forward players at all. It was actually great football from a training, keep-ball perspective, unfortunately lacking any sort of cutting edge to break teams down. I didn't expect to win today, but given the circumstances this was a missed opportunity.
 
Sometimes you here this be patient stuff from managers when playing against 10. A bit too patient tonight.
When Palace started looking dangerous and scored the goal it was from taking people on rather than just passing it about and hope that a situation presents itself.
I want the Bournemouth that take a few risks back ! Be brave with the ball is what we use to hear.
Gutted tonight, we need some on pitch inspiration big time.
 
We are certainly looking like relegation fodder. Clearly something not quite right in the camp. Too many points dropped from games when we should have had got some. Woeful, perhaps there are some people believing their own hype.
 
I think we have to face the fact that our players barring perhaps Lerma and Ake are very average....I don't care what anyone says no formation is going to change that....... unfortunately there are lots of very average teams in this league.... I say unfortunately because for the first time I couldn't care less if we go down or not.
 
What I will say is that Palace kept their shape well, got everyone behind the ball and broke effectively. Bread and butter 10 man play that can be very hard to deal with anyway, let alone when the players and coaching staff are working in slow mo.

Surprised you haven't blamed Lewis for that defeat
 
...confidence is shot by the look of it, Solanke never looking for the shot always the unload and Callum Wilson not sure if he has been usurped by a non footballing twin!

I’m sorry solanke isn’t going to score goals, Mepham looks afraid of his own shadow.

Even our corners when at our best are imaginative . There was nothing at all.

We are not the best defensively but it’s the attacking side that is letting us down
 
Solanke is a taller version of Ibe looks good but holds on to the ball to long
Lerma is the only creative passer in midfield when paired with Billing but his main job is to destroy the opposition.
Harry Wilson starting is a waste of space.

...so far this season Mepham, and Solanke just don’t look good enough for The PL...beginning to worry about our depth in the squad?
