Think Ake played LB for Netherlands last time, next to Van Dijk. Not easy to attack them on that side!

Nations League is pretty decent to be fair. Far better than the dull friendlies we used to have. The beauty is that the matches are as evenly matched as practically possible. So even if you fancy watching Northern Ireland, they could be in a decent game, rather than Euro qualifiers which are mostly one sided affairs.

well spent big on otamendi, stones etc before

think ake might be above mendy as left back now after the Leeds game

when Eddie moved ake wide left a few on here were very critical but when pep does it...

Hi, City fan here.
You guys said he was class. You were right.
He himself said he realised it would be difficult to break into the starting X1. He was wrong. He is already our best LB, as Mendy is totally knackered and Zinchenko is a midfielder doing a job.
Ake will play plenty both at LB and CB. Pep believes in rotation, esp this shortened season.
Played really well v Arsenal. Blues already singing his praises. With new boy Dias also starring, our defence is transformed, even with Laporte missing. Watch out Luverpool!
Meanwhile, good luck this season. Getting to the Prem was a major achievement; can you bounce back?

Playing him at LB is such a waste......It won't be long before it's just a question of who partners him at CB.....P.S Yes unfortunately we will be back!....we have by far the strongest squad in this league.....ask anyone on here.
