OK, so Blake and Hughes have full responsibility for how the club is run. That also means that these two individuals have to take FULL responsibility for the debacle that this season is becoming.

If I were Max, I'd be furious, their bungling has cost him tens of millions.

I dont speak to the owner / founder of the company I work for. I report to the CEO. That doesn't mean the owner has no say in the direction of the company.

Woodgate is the one we have to 100% get behind...for whatever length of time he has the reigns!

Then later..any time when any successor rocks up...its inevitable that the 'experts'. on the Forum will lay into whoever it is and their perceived weaknesses on day One....unless its a return of Eddie...or the likes of Guardiola.

Yes, of course, but my point was that if you are paying your CEO a salary well in excess of £1 million p.a. to run your business, you don't expect bungled decisions, lack of planning, strategy, poor recruitment, etc.

It was said at the start of the season that our squad was worth approx £150 million. I'd be surprised if it were worth half that now.

Someone, surely, has to carry the can for this.

Not taking sides....but you can't compare football with any normal business....how many run of the mill companies would still be in business if run like a football club ?

Think everyone is ignoring the point stated that denim speaks daily to blake. Doesn't sound like that's someone who's hands off

You’re missing the point. When Eddie was here he spoke to Demin several times a week (according to Eddie) and so the situation with Woodgate is odd...in a number of respects.

The way I read your post, the point seemed to be that Blake and Hughes take 'full responsibility' and Max has had no input into the decisions being made. I was probably swayed by some of the other posts, such as Valencians, though to be fair.

Dont get me wrong, I'm also of similar opinion to Blake and Hughes, but think its wrong to suggest that Max isn't fully involved in major decisions just because he leaves the conversations with Woodgate and others to those he's paying to do to do that role.

...oh for goodness sake  that was a tongue in cheek comment taking the p***...! :shake:
Impossible to tell in print, don't get the benefit of the tone of voice.

TBH, I agree with the "tongue in cheek" comment. Eleven games to play, one point out of a playoff spot and a head-to-head coming up with Barnsley ...... yet quite a few seem to think that the season is over. I don't get that.

Nor do I, still a way to go.
