A few theories and facts doing the rounds. Notwithstanding you haven't mentioned the £200 million of exports through new trade deals that have literally got off the ground. Do they offset your little chart ..not quite but early days.

The main one is of course Brexit stockpiling negating exports. Hopefully you weren't taking issue with all those containers stuck at Felixtowe and other ports full of UK goods. The next is Covid having a massive impact on both exports and Imports across the whole damned world...yep Imports are down as well...wanna pick on those nations ? How about Germany, their exports everywhere were down 9.3% last year.

I guess locking down whole countries and extinguishing things like the hospitality Industry for example might have an impact on what people consume...

Without doubt there will be a settling down and adjustment of things over the next 12 months.

How are vaccinations going in your adopted Utopia ?

You were doing well until you pulled the old chestnut about vaccinations out. The reason we are doing so well is that we took it out of the hands of politicians and put it into the hands of the great Tory enemy, the NHS.

There was me thinking the Government ran the NHS through the DHSC ;)

Who Invested in AZ and signed all of these vaccine contracts ?

Stay on topic . Do you think we should have stayed in the EU vaccine procurement scheme ? Do you think the nurses are happier UK citizens are getting vaccinated faster than their EU counterparts ?

Silly me, there was me thinking it was the UK gov't that signed the contracts for a total of 350 million vaccine doses with various Co's worldwide. I was also under the bizarre illusion that the Gov't had funded the vast majority of the research into the AZ vaccine and the Novavax development. I really must take Stan's word for it all being lies.;)

Brexit is destined to become a tiny pinprick of a talking point as it fades into history...the relationships between Russia, China, USA, India and Africa will be dominating our News in the future....the nations of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran/Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Turkey forming a geographical and strategic bloc figuring heavily in World Events ( trade/ wars/conflicts ?) Just study the World map and apply Technological, Advances, themes and ideas.....marry it up with the Resources of those areas( oil/gas/minerals) and you can see how the World will change from as we've known it..its all being kicked off by China!
The fact that Europe minus Britain is about the same land mass as Kazakhstan or India shows how relatively insignificant it is in the big picture !

Everything is related somehow...you just need to read enough books /history/atlases and get away from stereotypical Forum Elite Left and Right thinking....get into the grey areas ...stand at the crossroads a bit longer before you strike out on the roads to nowhere.
 
If the EU was so great...then campaign to get back in...if it still exists by the the time you get any enough polarisation going...

I see hundreds of Brits are to be deported from Spain as illegal immigrants this coming week. Scores have already left including this guy.
Yes I voted out, but I didn’t realise it would come to this, my application has been rejected and we are on our way home – the wife is in tears, she’s distraught if I’m honest and I’m not too happy at the prospect of returning back to the UK.
