Arnaut Danjuma

I think there needs to be a balance though… personally I’d shift Lerma ASAP but who on Earth is gonna come close to the £20odd million we paid for him… think we’d be lucky to get £15m…

Id also look to keep S Cook purely as we need some stability and he is just that.. Solid, the captain, been around for ages and clearly loves the club…

For me, get rid of Lerma and Danjuma and effectively it’s job done for the PL clear out…

Agree as long as Pearson is available. Don't think we need Lerma and Pearson but we definitely need one of them.

If this is accurate I would be nudging Lerma out the door. Considering:
- We are fairly stacked in that position.
- By the letter of the law at this moment in time he’s a “scummy player that bites people”.
- Unavailable for 5 more games and prone to missing games anyway.
- He wasn’t even that good last season for the wage he is supposedly on and the fee we paid.

Obviously point 2 is very much debatable and a bit unfair. I don’t dislike him as a player or a person and he seems to love it here. Just saying though; do we really need him? If money is a big factor in all this I would really question the decision to get rid of someone like Rico, when we only have one LB, first- for such a paltry fee. Especially if Lerma, who might not even be playing every game on form at this point either, is being kept.

Except he didn't bite anybody....did he? Surprised a 'fan' would write this on their own forum. Bad form !!

You clearly didn’t put a modicum of effort into reading the whole post, the tone of my post or my own admittance that that was a harsh point and only by “the letter of the law”. From the one making a whole ass thread criticising the actions of an academy player; a child.

Worse form!

It’s an interesting dilemna. While I take your logic in the argument there is also a more conservative way of looking at it which I also have sympathy with. We can’t afford his wages, that’s worth a gamble if we go up but if not its a costly error. Also, are we better off accepting 25m instead of 35m for a guaranteed cash injection, a 10m profit, removing the risk that he has a bad injury and we lose the lot and being able to sign a couple players who want to be here long term.

I sense that Scott isn’t as happy with people that don’t want to be here as Eddie and Jason were. I think that’s a good thing.
There is a level where you need to balance for sure. £25m then yes, but so far I have only heard £15m as a concrete level. Always a gamble. King for example last year was a disgrace, and with hindsight we should have got rid to West Ham. However I think the much maligned Blake does negotiate generally well (on sales at least), and you cant just give players away.

I guess it also comes down on assessing the temperment of the player concerned. I think Danjuma will go, but equally if he doesnt I think he would buckle down.

And that 15m was in euros also, so barely covering what we paid… I fthink if Villarreal came in with €20m we’d probably take it…

he's read his morning Guardian, and is stressed by this article...

If every house had 1 parcel no bigger than a shoe box delivered in densely populated areas the concept might work. Unfortunately, the bulk of my work is on F I E, and I can’t see how you could load over 500 kg of parcels on there. There’s lots of good innovation in logistics, but the ability for your average Postie to fit a days work in a satchel and deliver it on a bike have well gone.

Just had a wonderful lunch of curried pork and vegetables and I’m washing it down with two vodka fanta and thinking of cooling down in the pool.

How’s England?
