Norwich City v AFC Bournemouth - League Cup Second Round - Tuesday 7 pm

Farkin Noruch...selling us that Nyland..they did done us up like Turkeys.. didn' em ?

Haha......Or should that be Bernard Matthews 'Roasted Turkeys'.
Bernard wudden even on the bench bud !

What Kick up the @rse Evening ..one thinks!

As they say on Sooty....with a wry smile.. .. " bye bye everybody..see you next time ! "
Keep up Brian.....Nyland was a free agent

It was a poor performance tonight but not surprising given the gap in the middle at the front. Man city may be able to do it but not Afcb. Started brightly but stated gifting early and all downhill after that. Serious individual unforced errors. I'll file it away with plenty of other defeats but bearing in mind there didn't seem to any preparation or tactics evident tonight. Won't give confidence to players as it was such a mess. Norwich didn't have to do too much to win but took the gifts gratefully.

Something quite enrapturing about this ere result... doth mean maybe we is not obliged to be in expectance of anything too heady this Seazo..
..see look..if we bounces back at Hull ( the team make up don't matter a f√ck to me..Boscombe is Boscombe.. All for One ..One for All...and scratch yer @rse on Pancake Day)....but if we do then we pass a test somewhat after a first albeit disasterous punt at a Cup.

March on My Magnificent Cherries !

it’s a nothing match which enables young players to get game time and other players to build fitness, it has no impact on the season whatsoever.

so yes, you are being weird.

Wrong! It's a first team competitive game. Not a friendly, not a reserve game. Winning is a habit and so is losing. This result will knock players confidence. So, yes, it does matter. No pride, no passion, from the players or some supporters it would seem. If you are not hurting, even just a little bit. If you are not embarrassed. If you think this is acceptable. I would ask the question. Do you care at all?

I must admit, Norwich probably think that this cup is an inconvenience too, yet somehow they managed to care enough to beat us 6-0. That’s what bugs me most. Yes, I understand that this cup has zero glamour and appeal but that doesn’t just apply to us, surely ? Other teams probably think it’s shite too but still manage to make a bit of an effort.

I’m just hoping that this result was, as usual, just a consequence of us fielding a team of players who have hardly ever played together before.

And yes, I’m feeling particularly generous tonight !

:utc: in the league, where failure really is not an option !

Did those 250 not do their homework on previous great Boscombe cup exploits.

If fans give up caring then we may as well give up, what’s the point of playing?

I went with my daughter and had a great afternoon in an amazing part of the country including an excellent meal in one of the great old pubs in the centre, sitting by the river and did a bit of shopping. Norwich is one of my favourite away days.

Football was total shite to be fair but that’s not an unusual experience over my lifetime.

Tonight was so poor for a mix of reasons. Team was weak; we had no centre forward and brooks didn’t track back enough imho to help debutant camp especially with Brandon Williams pushing up. In contrast, Norwich were up for it (as they showed a couple of seasons ago when they played us off the park in the league cup) and there was a 20k gate instead of the apathetic few thousand that often turn up. Of course, the 3 goals second half were the result of dreadful individual errors - maybe that’s a collective less committed approach than for league games ?

I stayed to the final whistle, like a lot of away fans stayed, and the interaction between fans and players was quite carthartic at the end.
