Time for the benefits of Brexit to put the money where teir mouth was

Services may have to be cut unless NHS England receives an extra £10bn in funding next year, groups representing the health service have warned.
The NHS Confederation and NHS Providers said the money was needed to cover pandemic-related costs and reduce the backlog in operations and treatments.
They warned that patients could be put at risk without more funding.
The government said it had already provided additional money to tackle backlogs.
The organisations are concerned a three-year government spending review for England, some of which could be announced next week, will fall well short of what the NHS needs.

Warning over cuts to NHS services without £10bn extra funding - BBC News

That's only 10 weeks of Brexit savings. A doddle.

Questions : They get answered ; they don't.

A different set of questions emerge if the Yellowstone Park Volcano erupts...and half the planet gets covered in 6 inches or more of Ash.
Or any similar scenario that could crop up from unknown sources....I.e. from under the Siberian Ice. Choke Bingo.

Brexit is/was a pussy cat....hardly born !

10 ways No Deal Brexit COULD affect you.

No 1 Groceries

Just checked our Fridge all meat & Fish from GB
Potatoes , all veg GB
Banana's from Equador
Braeburn apples from New Zealand

Nothing from the EU what so ever and that was without even trying.

Absolute tosh that we would face a food crisis.
Slightly less choice worse case scenario.

Saying the poor will be worse effected well Bread , Eggs, Meat, Potatoes & Veg is unaffected there's your staples.

and for the lazier cook types i'm sure your birds eye and other brands of chopped and shaped nugget type things will be unaffected as will your frozen chips and pizza.

I think people need to realise just how large our poultry, dairy, & pig farming industry is, only 2 years ago the guardian was complaining that we have nearly 800 livestock mega farms in the UK.

There are 10,000 official pig farms in the UK and 30,000 premises with pigs on (including pets)

Yet a well known highstreet bakery claims their stockpiling pork in case of no deal brexit, the reason for that , they import from the Netherlands, well simple answer to that , source your pork from here.

You might not want to Google what's happening to supply chains in the USA and Australia Druss, it would probably add too much nuance to the argument for you.

There's a worldwide issue with supply chains which is no doubt exacerbated in the UK by both brexit and the tax changes recently brought in.

I wonder though Druss, what are your feelings on the disruption caused by industrial action aimed at forcing employers to improve pay and conditions for workers?

Pay is another issue.....Im pointing out that all that project fear crap was exactly that...crap. But Farage and others told everyone it was lies.

Why is pay another issue? And even if it is so you think disruption is a price worth paying for improved pay and conditions for workers?

Farage is full of sh*t, an opportunist windbag. That said it is clear that there is a global supply chain crisis and that Brexit is one of a number of issues that is impacting the UKs problems. I'm not sure such binary analysis really helps anyone.

Just so I am clear, you think we wouldnt be suffering the issues we are if there was no covid?

Why do you ignore my questions Druss?

To answer yours, I'll repeat. There's a global supply chain crisis with empty shelves in Australia and the USA among other places. Its worse in the UK due to brexit and changes to the tax system for HGV drivers. So no we wouldn't be suffering the same if there was no Covid just like the issues wouldn't be as bad if IR35 hadn't slashed their earnings or if we still had free movement.

Im not looking for a conversation, I am pointing out that "project fear" was once again correct and not a fear project. Is it good that drivers get increased wages? Yes of course....should it come at the expense of restaurant workers losing wages and shops having empty shelves or shutting then obviously not.

Trying to deflect from the issues by saying look how well paid the truckers will be is like suggesting how great Covid is as the undertakers, doctors and nurses are making a mint in overtime.

Wait....did you just moan about IR35 closing tax loopholes? lol

Is a conversation that takes into account all of the relevant factors too inconvenient for you? Why haven't you got anything to say about the shortages in other countries? Or IR35? All of these are relevant to the current issues don't you agree? Brexit being one of the key factors.

I could not disagree with your last point more. One of the reasons many people voted out is because they worked in industries where the wages had been surpressed for years due to employers using cheap foreign labour instead of paying people what they were worth. They also had no incentive to train UK based workers because it wasn't worth it to them. You saying its a deflection is like saying chaos caused by a tube strike is unrelated to the improved pay and conditions that rusult from it.

I'll repeat... Do you think disruption caused by industrial action is justified if it results in improved pay and conditions?
