Well its true they could scrap it if they wanted to, same as the environmental levies or reduce the VAT rates from 5% to zero but I can't see that happening anytime soon with the current state of finances.

Can't say I wanted to be a part of the EU so I was all for Brexit but I don't see why UK is being punished by EU for kissing them all good-bye. I don't put what I'd like to say in writing but I would tell them what to do with their claim. I ask myself what could they do about it? especially as we buy a great deal of stuff from them.

Would you just explain in what way the EU is punishing the UK? We left the club.

I'm aware of the other reasons. But just like the media glossing over the lack of food shortages over on the continent too. bad as each other.

Tory ministers saying that it's happening everywhere etc etc..never asked to give examples though.

The former secretary of state for Foreign Affairs seems to lack any competence in the international language of diplomacy.

Boris Johnson has told the French president to "donnez-moi un break" and get over his anger about a new military pact between the UK, US and Australia.

So if the Northern Ireland protocol needs tearing up because it hasn't worked as expected, does that mean we can have another vote on Brexit? ;-)
