Interesting comments on SSN when interviewing a Forest player before the Spurs game… Asked how important self belief is and he responded by saying how many times they talk about ‘if you don’t believe in yourself no one else will’ something Cooper talks about a lot…

Polar opposite to what Parker feels…

The problem with all of this is we have no idea whats the club's aim is . For all we know they may be budgeting for one season in the PL purely for financial gain to invest in the longer future of the club. Alternatively to be able to repay some of the debt owed to Max. If their aim is to stay up for any period of time then it would require serious investment. Perhaps this is what Parker was expecting. We don't know what the board told Parker last season other than promotion or busy! The number of signings we made in January were ridiculous compared to other clubs and it's obvious the sole aim was to get promoted . There never looked like a plan to stay in the PL for any period of time which is probably what has upset Parker. However, I get the impression Parker likes players who are ready made and cost money. Does he lack coaching ability? I think it's shocking that he has come out and basically said he doesn't rate his players as good enough and that the fans should expect a few more embarrassing results . Total disrespect to both but then I get the impression that Parker isn't interested in building bonds with supporters. He knows the score and those that sing his name one week will calling for his sacking the next. So with regards to whether he should stay or go ,unless we know what the club want from this season, then, it's hard to say.
Personally I don't like his style of football. I don't like his post match interviews. I don't like his wardrobe. I don't like his demeanour but he shouldn't be sacked for at least another month or two.

I think we have to wait and see how the next couple of matches pan out. But he doesn't seem to get the best out of the players and I wouldn't be sorry to see him gone sooner rather than later.

Very noticeable that whatever the result Cooper, like Dyche, always criticises the opposition, the officials, the conditions, never his players. They build up a siege mentality by always saying "our players did really well despite the fact that everything's against us". Parker on the other hand...

If the club are planning for just one season in PL ....why would they sack Parker and pay him off ? when in their eyes everything is going to plan

For me it’s not even necessarily the manner of the defeats, it’s how he’s conducting himself in the media.

If he’d just taken it on the chin, took responsibility, even attempted to justify the score line and said something along the lines of “I still believe in the lads, they’ve got what it takes. We’ve just had a very poor day today”. Then you know what, it’s humiliating, but there’s a way back in, we can rally behind that. It’s like he’s completely alienated the fans from the siege mentality we could and should be drumming up.

Head says keep him, we’ll go down but we probably won’t break records, maybe new signings and kinder fixtures will see a massive improvement.

Heart says f*ck him, arrogant and has no respect for his own players. Really started to dislike him. I thought Tindall was crap but I never disliked him, nor Woodgate. I don’t like the vibe of the club right now

The main issue now is how SP gets to motivate the players after that humiliating diabolical disaster yesterday and his poor comments about the existing players to the media of late. One has to wonder what the feeling is in the DR to these comments, not what I would call inspiring, is he in the process of losing the players ?

We definitely require an experienced leader on the pitch who can assist to calm and guide some of the less experienced players during a tough game. Sadly at the moment the players look lost and very disorganized . Does the board need or want to back a manager that the players may have lost faith in or do we need a new face who can not only inspire and get the best out of a player but also keep us in the EPL ?

If we wait too long , it will be a very long season with the current set up and manager ?

PS: I would rather see a motivated manager /coach in a track suit .

Thats my concern. Before the season kicked off, I had little expecation going into the last 3 games - zero points predicted/expect.

Concern was getting through them without it having an impact on the games afterwards. Concern now is, how much of an impact did yesterday, compounded with 2 other defeats (but not necessarily unexpected scorelines) have v Wolves and afterwards?

If he gets some results, fair play, he must have something about him. Going to be interesting for sure, but I can't help but fear the worse.

Quite a few players have nailed their colours to the mast saying that they want to progress and be better. I haven't seen improvement in any player yet this season. Is any existing skill or ambition being coached out of them?

Usual stuff tbh. We want to 'grow', 'learn', 'my journey' etc. Whatevers en vogue on social media and copied from '7 habits of highly effective people' or recent equivalents.

Well, thats a relief, I thought most players want to go backwards/regress.

Want to see evidence of it, not just words. (obviously this is assuming manager is getting the best of the players, motivating them etc).

I'm giving him a couple of months only as my own personal view. I doubt very much the club will sack him for exactly the reason you say. We are going to have to put with Parker regardless of performance and results.

So if things don't improve , can't see him walking of his own accord so we're stuck with him....:eek!:

Although I’ve long thought that he is not for us and we’re certainly not for him I would’ve said back him after the game, now I’ve seen his post match comments he’s got to go, not impressed with that at all.

That’s a massive majority saying sack him. Surely the club have to listen.

4 people is a massive majority? Bet most of them are those Fulham fans they weirdly hang around this forum to rubbish the guy

This squad isn’t good enough. No point arguing that - but I have been consistent in saying that we should judge when the transfer window shuts. Shorn of Kelly Philips and cargill the centre back cover of meps and menesi (so far) is not good enough.

Personally I can forget the 9-0 as I was lucky in that I did not go all that way to watch it - and in the overall picture it is only 3 points dropped.

However, Parker's comments are another matter as it is his job to get the best out of the players he has and that is going to be hard to do given his attitude, based on his comments and manner, and what that conveys to his team and us as supporters.

On balance I would at this time not sack him, but tell him to grow a pair and do his bloody job rather than whine like a spoilt child.
