ST’s - average 9.7% increase

I don’t have an issue with the raise per se. It hasn’t gone up in ages although if the club need the money that bad they could cut some of the execs salaries down to normal clubs levels? Always been one for boards being overpaid at the expense of the working man have you Rob or only when arguing with me?

. It’s the ham fisted manner of the declaration which is Tinpot and amateur not necessarily the raise.
I don't like people being over paid, but I'm not the one paying him.

If you are CEO of an organisation it’s your decision. I’m sure you’ve worked for enough companies to know that Del

I don't think it's possible that you really believe this. They haven't gone up in eight years. The new owner takes over, talks about maximising revenue in all areas, puts an American specialist in commercial operations in an lo and behold they put prices of everything up. It's simply not possible that you genuinely believe all of these changes are down to the guy who's been there for the last eight years. If anything it proves he wasn't maximising revenue in the past.

I’m a tad lost here.
I buy my season ticket for games I want to see.
Then the club are forcing me to pay an extra £14 for games I might not want to see?
And our Jim gets interviewed to explain the decision, but apparently him and Bill have nothing to do with it, it's all down to Blake again.
Scapegoat Blake strikes again

As you always point out Del, none of us know anything. What I do know is that in any organisation the Chief Exec makes the decisions or signs off the decisions of others. Clue is in the name. Also I was talking about the mish mash of the message delivery not necessarily the message

He is the commercial director so will be interviewed about the pricing, just as the PR director will do the press release. They all report into the chief exec though who will ratify everything.

Some clubs have done it with the Carling Cup and fans even kicked off against that as they don’t watch that comp. It’s just a really odd way of raising revenue.

So bill also not involved? Are you unhappy with the increase after 8 years?
You must be impressed with the training ground that Blakes overseeing

It's just amazing the lengths you will go to to pin everything bad on the guy you pretend you've not got a personal dislike of. He is responsible for all the bad things that happened, even those that Jim Frevola is clearly responsible for. JF literally delivered the message and you blame Blake.

I know what you mean. Obviously many wealthy people value money or in some instances, just plain tight despite being 'loaded'

But to some it's nothing/pocket change or they're too busy/forget/down their priority list to do whatever process is of returning imo, as value of it is inconsequential to them.

When I worked in tech as field engineer 10 years or so back when demin jojned, one of the customers/business we provided support to started going to games - the owner. He mentioned they has season tickets and when I visited every month or so and asked what he thought of recent game, he typically said didn't go for xyz reason.

Clearly didn't support club or wasnt even that bothered sbout football at all from what i could glean over tine. but just bought season tickets anyway. I had ti go to his house few times, and was clear he was pretty wealthy.
No hope for such people !

It's not exactly going to break the bank but I imt see how an increase was necessary. Our capacity is so small the extra income will make next to sod all difference to the income of the club. Another season in the PL and they've just banked another £140m. It just seems like they're jumping the current trend of increasing prices because everywhere else is. I doubt it will even pay the directors end of season bonus's. Like I said it's only £54 but strikes me as greed unless I'm going to get something in return for it next season that I didn't this season .

Well I have no idea what sort of companies you have worked for, but that isn’t how it works in the corporate world I am familiar with.

Tbf you're going to see a load more expensive footballers playing for your team than when you last paid for a ST. You'll also be using new turnstiles in freshly painted concourses and with brand new refreshment facilities according to Jim F. If you're in the Ted Mac you'll have much better facilities by all accounts.

I think Kirsikka hit the nail on the head when he said this was to start paving the way for higher prices in the new stadium. So salami slice increases, resulting in significantly higher ticket prices in four or five years’ time. That makes a new stadium more cost effective.

Personally I am happy to pay more year on year if the end result is a bigger ground with a bigger fan base. It’s just a shame that the club didn’t have the confidence in us, as supporters, to think we would understand that strategy. If they did, it would have been easy to explain that is what they are doing and why.

You’ve gone full circle in the same thread. You were slagging the decision off at the start. Is your new back up plan in case nobody argues with you to argue with yourself?

Maybe that's why they are only going for 18,000-20,000. Don't need to spend on more seats if you can generate the same revenue.
