Swansea City v AFC Bournemouth - League Cup Second Round

You are the most sanctimonious person I have ever met online or offline. You make these broad announcements like you are some kind of genius or seer, when really all it is, is repeating the same bilge ad infinitum.

Even at full strength, we would have been hard pressed to get a result out of those games; those teams have way more talent than us(Well Liverpool and Spurs do), is what it is not going to lose any sleep over that.

I have a feeling you want us to keep on losing just so you can come on here and say 'Haha, I told ya'll so.' You must have a very pathetic daily life to want that kind of validation from people you will more than likely never even meet in person.

If we get a result at Brentford(Which tbh I think we can) what will be your thinking then? We were just lucky fuckers?
Funny how we have played the teams currently in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed and yet eeyore tries to claim a unique insight to say we would struggle to get results. Ignore him.

Unfortunately, and I stress unfortunately, this is another game that we are very likely to lose. This is because we do not have enough players to fully rotate and so, will be utilising a few U21's. Also Swansea will be more up for it, they are at home and will field a stronger side.
You hope so as it might provide you with an election.

And yet people still respond to him...

I've never come across a clearer case for following the old adage - ' don't feed the...'.

Just giving him exactly what he wants.

Clearly not a bournemouth fan, receptive/ willing to reasonably engage with any kind of... well, anything.

As stated if you do not like my comments then simply ignore them. Why is this so difficult for you to grasp.

This is one of the reasons why you also are a complete plank that adds nothing.

Why should I ignore it when you come onto a match thread all Billy Three Bedrooms giving it the big "I know everything, look at my record" whilst lying through your teeth? You got West Ham wrong. Not just slightly but to an embarrassing level of inaccuracy. You almost couldn't have been more wrong. Then you're here claiming you called it right.

When you write, it's as if you've gone to ChatGPT and said: "Write a forum post prediction for Swansea v AFCB in a style that features the upbeat and hopeful nature of Jude the Obscure from an AFCB fan perspective whilst channelling the arrogance and refusal to recognise your own failings in the manner of Donald Trump".

Having an opinion on the club is great. That's why the forum exists. However, if you're going to talk in absolutes rather than opinions then don't come back claiming you know everything when you get it badly wrong.

As for the Liverpool and Spurs predictions of defeat... hardly rocket science, was it?

Oh yeah, and that was another post from you deflecting without acknowledging you completely missed the mark on West Ham.

In case anyone was wondering, drop the Trump part which seemed to confuse it and you get:

"Oh, fellow sufferers of the Cherries' fate,

As we brace for another chapter of woe, let us resign ourselves to the looming shadows. The pitch in Swansea shall be but a stage for our ongoing tragedy. With the weight of despair in our hearts, we prepare to witness missteps and missed opportunities. Just as Jude endured his tribulations, so must we endure the impending sorrow. May we find solace in shared disappointment, for alas, the outcome seems destined to echo the melancholic verses of Hardy. The misery continues..."

The tone seems about right, although the writing style is way beyond what he seems to produce.

Extreme ?

The season's only just started and players might suffer 'extreme tiredness' playing two games four days apart.
We have an important game at Brentford on Saturday. The current first eleven could well do without having to travel to Swansea to play a game that they may not have played in had we not had so many key players missing. This game would normally have been played with using the U21's and and the first team squad players that did not feature in the game before.

Iraola has already said he wants to take the cups more seriously than what we have done previously... As has been already stated, the season has 'just' begun so tiredness should not be a consideration.

I firmly expect to see a strong line up tonight, with one or two bench warmers thrown into the starting line up to show the manager what they can do...

The current first eleven have no chance of any points on Saturday anyway due to the number of key first team players out injured.

I bid you good day.

Well I do hope it all goes well this evening and we do not pick up any further casualties.

I think you could well be right !
We're clearly not the finished article yet, so this game is a great opportunity to keep the core group playing together and adapting to the master plan AI has set out for them. There are no three points at risk for this one and it has come at a good time for us. I think AI could well play our league team ( predominantly ) for this one. Yes, there is a risk of key players then picking up injuries but it's only one game and injuries can happen at any time. No point in thinking that you can protect players from injuries by not playing them. They get paid enough, so play them ! :p

Particularly in our current situation, this game represents a great opportunity to work on improving our implementation of AI's way of playing. I'd be surprised if he made wholesale changes with things as they currently stand.
