You’re probably right!! I just don’t know anyone of my generation or circle who thinks it’s right we are loaning them players to get back up so assuming it’s younger people who may be more tolerant of people with mental health problems… :grinning:
 
I’m suspicious there are a few lurkers around here that always had Southampton as their team when we were languishing in the lower divisions and switched as we rose up to the PL …they’re all , Bournemouth till I die now though :shake:
 
It's not so much that we're helping them; they're giving minutes and a showcase to our players at no additional cost to us.
This should not only help Brooks and Rothwell sharpen up and maybe (or, particularly, in the case of Brooks) be ready to play for us regularly next season, but also increase their resale value.
Maybe Saints will get promoted, maybe not, but either way we should come out ahead on this.
 
I don’t mind Saints at all, quite like to see them doing well as long as it’s not at our expense. Most Saints fans I’ve met in my time feel the same way about us, they are mostly decent people who just enjoy supporting their local team. This whole forced rivalry thing I find very cringeworthy and don’t really understand it tbh.

I can understand to an extent not wanting to strengthen them for geographical reasons, but in all honesty the gulf between PL and championship is so great now that they would have been promoted regardless so I’m not sure it makes a lot of difference. Can only be a good thing our players getting minutes and increasing in value.
 
Personally think it's embarrassing all this attention for them. I couldn't care, any so called rivalry is forced. I've spent most of my time supporting bmth, where they were at least 2 divisions above us. As with many teams.

Yes its good to beat them, and be a league above, but no different to any other team
 
Trouble is ..Brooks and Rothwell might just like it there...larger crowd...and being notherners have no emotional attachment to Tinpot Boscombe geographically...oh dear I knew it wasn't a good idea...I fact I deemed it potty from the start.
I think that's it guys...they are Gone..!!!
A player like Brooks FFS....and it was known of Rothwell that he was an excellent ball - carrier before he came south...what we badly needed !

Dya know what I'm ..oh dear oh dear i'm really ill- treating my brain over this 'ere abomination.
Not since Ted Mac went Mancwards has anything p*ssed me off so much.


Our Recruitment people really are the dumbest set of motherf√ckers under Sun ...

Yeah, maybe Rothwell has not attachment to tinpot cherries, but Brooksy? the club stood by him during his terrible health scare. I'm sure he has a soft spot for the staff here
