Agreed, I find it absolutely baffling that Rico gets a booking for the slightest of tugs to the arm then later a player has a handful of King’s shirt and it is deemed not an offence by not only the ref, the lino but also the refs in the VAR bunker.

I am disappointed that Ake is returning but the stats with him playing are not great. In the 11 matches without him we let in 16 goals, and with the 9 he started we let in 18. I did not include cup games. This is an average of 1.45 to 2 goals per game.

I thought Ake had a good game but after watching the highlights I thought he was nowhere near either Bony or Waters for their headers so if either or both would have gone in we would be having a different conversation.

I also reckon that our home kit is pretty much best of the bunch but (and I hate to say this) I agree with the Mail that our blue away kit is pretty awful. I am sure there is a piece of research to be done matching kit design preferences to the blind loyalty of fans. If anyone wants to bung me...
