Hi All, Is there any chance that high winds could cause the game to be called off tomorrow?

Oooh its windy lets not go outdoors................................
I'm with you, beds. If winds are blowing strong, no golf for me.I won't leave the house when I'm older when it's like this. Can't fecking stand this shite day after day.
Although I'm a runner so conditioned to hate it as a rule.
Most Sunday league games I played in the wind probably improved the spectacle..........I remember my glory Sunday League days....and always thinking that a strong wind would ruin a game of football more than pretty much any other weather conditions!

Ah Turlin Moor, that was always fun. The vast expanse of Ferndown Sports Centre was always fun on a windy day as well.True enough!! But down places like Turlin Moor....when you could clear the ball and it would end up behind you....never enjoyed those mornings!
Goal kicks like that used to happen with those 99p footballs you could buy at garages ........I did hear of a game last Sunday (can't remember where) when the ref abandoned the game after a goal kick landed 20 yards behind the goal line from which it was taken!
I remember the Hartlepool game (on TV) in a screaming SE'ly gale when they were kicking towards the North Stand in the first half, and their main tactic in that half was to kick for touch close to our corner flag knowing we'd have difficulty getting any kind of distance on our throws...
Looks like Saturday's high winds will be blowing more or less straight across the pitch.
