AFC Bournemouth v Cardiff City

...as for Kevin Friend being our friend...we need to send them some footage of him reffing us since we have been in The PL...the guy is a cock!....tbh Cardiff better get used to The PL refs especially when they play away at the big clubs they will get nothing from them!

...having an opinion is hardly slagging off half the team...calling others cretins is slagging off!...thank god we don't just all sychophantically sit here and not show any emotion or opinion! Whatever I say is how I see, everyone sees the game differently thankfully we can see the alternative opinions and digest them too!

I think it’s possible to criticise players and disagree with an opinion without resorting to “slagging off”

For some fans, mainly at the games but to an extent on here too, they are so blinded by their dislike of certain players, they can never even acknowledge when they’ve done something well. People like that are cretins IMO!

Coming on here constructively offering an opinion as to why a player was poor is fine and one of the purposes of this forum.

I don't know if Steve Cook was injured or not - probably was... but, there's no doubt that this became a tactic last year. Team under the cosh, ball goes in from set piece or whatever, ball is cleared but is about to come back in, defender or keeper goes down with head injury so the ref blows up and prevents the second phase. Last season is the first time I noticed it was happening multiple times but I've not seen any mention of it.

As I say I don't know if Steve Cook was genuinely injured or not but he definitely gave them a wink and thumbs up as he was escorted off. Oh well. ;)

Apparently Lewis cook was playing yesterday and they don’t seem to like him

Blimey, they might want to watch the replay back from the full coverage. It was completely accidental but their player went up for a ball Cook won and smacked his head into Cook's trying to win the ball. No malice, just a football incident but also no surprise he went down for some time.

As for waving and giving the thumbs up from the touchline, in the tv coverage he looked pretty groggy when he was standing there.

I'm not too sure what they wanted from the drop ball when play was restarted. Should we have passed it to one of their players on the edge of the area?

Also, their fans booing him for getting treatment for a genuine head injury is precisely why he gave some back when we scored. Don't give it out if you don't want it back.

Watch the replay, this was genuine.

I didn't see the thumbs up but in which direction did it go? Bear in mind we were planning to make two subs so if it was at the bench then that makes sense to reassure them he was ok to continue and they could make the planned subs.

Was he out cold because he seemed to lie there completely motionless for a few seconds..it certainly got the medical staff worried.

Saw Tyronne Mings getting ready at that moment and then standing ready to come on. Next thing he was out of sight and back in the dugout.

OK, so did you, or did you not rebrand for a £100m investment?

Did your fans only protest when they were bottom of the Premier League?

Did you only have 15,000 for a game in March?

You say Hamman and "the Riddler" made a mess of the club, but they left long before the rebrand and long before your club ditched its history of passionate support all for one awful season in the PL.

Now you're back in the PL, and based on what I saw today, I haven't seen many teams worse than Cardiff in the last 4 years. Bamba in midfield in the Premier League? Your club are just here for the TV money, pathetic.

Oh, and what a easy win. Never in any doubt, it was more like an FA Cup tie than a PL clash.
Some really, really stupid statements amongst that lot. You want to try being more positive about afcb rather than trolling a Cardiff fan who hasn't come on here to cause trouble.

These are embarrassing JCL type arguments, especially the ones regarding attendances!

"just here for the tv money"? Honestly what kind of an accusation is that!? Come up with something constructive and it might be an interesting discussion.

Oh and if it had been an FA Cup game we would have lost!

Hmm, last season you could see the full 90 minutes of the match overnight on Sky but it looks like it's only highlights now. Does anyone know if this feature is dumped or can it be seen elsewhere? I was going to make a gif of clash of heads.

I absolutely despair of some of our fans. we have had a very comfortable PREMIER LEAGUE win and best still half the team are getting slagged off.
We are not Man City or Liverpool, you absolute cretins
ha ha it's called having an opinion mate!!

To the away fans so not about reassuring anyone. Don't get me wrong I think it was funny. It did look like this was a genuine injury on this occasion but you never know.

That was only the chosen game, the others were 30 minutes. Longer than the BBC.

Fair enough. Then, they had been booing him when he was down with a head injury so still not sure what they expect.

Weird about the Sky thing. I'll check the 30 minute show later to see if it has the incident in it but I expect it will probably be cut out.

Away fans getting annoyed about player going down with injury when they have the ball and are losing - shock, horror, whatever next.....................

I was baffled to see Lewis Cook on the bench Billy - was there any reason, injury or what-not, behind that or just a selection thing?

Sorry, Eddie mentioned in his interview that he was impressed with our showing in the Marseille game, so played that starting 11 (as mentioned by NWC).

Did they have any streaming of the game anywhere or have they actually managed to stop it?

Always good commentary from Kris and Willo otherwise.
