Antoine Semenyo

Why the f**k have we waited until now to make these bids? We could have done this on the 1st of January. Was there any planning done at all ahead of this window, aside from hoping that Lorient’s players would come to us? Like I said, we’re not good enough to be a PL club on any level, clearly we were carried by Howe for many years at this level. Almost feel like we need to drop back down for a complete reset, new stadium, new football operators, new strategy/an actual strategy. Establish ourselves as a solid championship club while trying to expand the supporter base, and then look to move to the next level. Our model was heavily reliant on one person, and now he’s gone, those left behind seem to be falling desperately short. If ever a club needed a reset then it’s us.
Instead of the constant and extremely tiresome whinging and moaning, this in combination with incessant questions that no one on this forum is in a position to answer, why don’t you contact the club to arrange a meeting with Bill Foley. I’m sure he’d be most interested in your thoughts and particularly your amazing insights and business acumen.

hilarious that the club don’t think that they should do business early - some fans just need to show a bit of patience and backbone instead of slagging off club officials when they don’t know what is happening behind the scenes.

Wrong Bade.

These 'fans' play Football manager or whatever it's called on their computers at home & it's a piece of p1ss running a football club on there, so the same must apply in real life!!

If you look on SSN you can see the difficulty other clubs are having signing players with bids being turned down.

Some of the ones who seemed to get the players they wanted have paid big money.

Palace and So'ton join race for Semenyo

Crystal Palace and Southampton have joined Bournemouth and Burnley with interest in Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo.

Bournemouth, who had a £10m bid rejected last week, are still understood to remain the favourites.

But Palace are keen and, although he is predominantly a centre-forward, he can play anywhere across the front-line.

Two of Palace’s current forwards, Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew, are both out of contract in the summer.

Southampton have also been looking for a striker but missed out on targets the likes of Danny Ings, who joined West Ham, and Arnaut Danjuma, who is set to sign for Tottenham.

Burnley preferably want to sign Semenyo in the summer if the current Championship leaders are promoted back to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old is a Ghana international who has scored 20 goals and set up 22 more in 124 appearances for Bristol City. He has 18 months left on his contract at Ashton Gate.

Was looking in the lower leagues at players who are scoring goals, like we did that time with Callum Wilson at Coventry City.

If City sell Semenyo, their next door neighbours Rovers, have a player in form after 27 league games he has scored 13 goals and 10 assists to his name, in 25-year-old Aaron Collins.

The only reservation I have with this signing is, is he 3 times better than Lowe? Obviously age and development is a factor, but it feels like we’re overpaying for an average championship player who’s a decent prospect at best.
