Brett Pitman

There must be a good reason why he isn’t a regular in the Pompey side looking for promotion.

Goals win promotion and we know he was a regular scorer, so he would possibly be like Defoe when he came back.

But if the midfield don’t create the chances as strikers need ‘feeding, it doesn’t matter who is up front.

That is why I am a bit surprised Surman hasn’t been given a start as he did make our midfield tick in the Luton game.

Shows how desperate we are getting if anyone thinks this is a decent thought.....he wasn't good enough for the PL at his peak, let alone now. He hasn't even been getting in the Pompey team!

People will say daft things in these situations. Just have a look at West Ham, Brighton and Manu Forums when they dip!

Brett is too past it for PL pace now...he is entitled to be ...more than justified Legend status in our Rise. He would Have a Go thats for sure..but I wouldnt want to put that pressure on him and see him fall short!

Wouldnt mind him giving our guys a dressing room lecture about ' character and presence' ...or just being in the crowd for some atmosphere and good luck on Tuesday!

I would give Ake a game up front, but unfortunately he is needed in defence.
Give Surridge a start. He would find the net better than Pitman or Solanke.

He still comes quite regularly to Dean Court with his little boy. Much as I really really REALLY love him I'm happy for him to be sat in the stands and not in the dug-out.

A third spell at the club? You never know in football. I still have my house there and I would love to, but I am not going to make any predictions.

Plus this article mentions him training at home, so probably still in our area.
