Charlie Daniels

Sucks
Not so good as a more 'mature' player either , recovery just gets more difficult
Time for the latter big buys to step up and replace the league 1 player

gutted, sickener for him

why are so many of our players so prone to knee injuries EVERY fecking season ffs?

When you look at the injury, it was just how he twisted to make that kick. His plant foot either was planted awkwardly or slipped and dug in on the kick. Not a training or fitness thing at all.
Maybe blame the pitch? But I haven't heard anyone comment that the pitch was soft or bad.

Actually yes. Eddie wasn’t happy with the pitch after the Sheffield United game and Pep made similar comments on Sunday

I think it was more about it being too hard and dry rather than soft but no idea if this contributed in any way

Terrible news, all the best to him for a swift and complete recovery. Really hope we see him again in red and black

Gutted for Chaz and can’t help thinking that’s his premier league career over.

This should be a warning to wee man that he has no protection against a long term injury beyond this season and sign that deal!

Awful, let’s hope he can get back to some form of training by the end of the season, get a full pre season under his belt and see him back in red and black again next season.

I read he wanted to do his next coaching B Badge so maybe once he’s had surgery and on the road to recovery he can get a head start in some of that.

Man, that's bad news. As most of you know, I am a relative "newbie" having joined the Cherries brigade in winter 2015. Charlie, along with Simon, Smithy, Surman, Cook and others of that ilk were new to me, although most of you knew them very well. I am convinced that, when you first fall in love with a club, those mainstay players are always your "favourites". In the Man City pre-match interview, he was so happy to be back, ahead of schedule. There should be some type of fan support electronic card on the Club site where we can all send him our best.

Maybe someone knows his twitter handle and we can go there?

I like what you did there.

Did i hear it was the other knee this time?.....to have two different injuries to both knees one after the other is awful......

Not been a good time for Charlie recently, hope all goes well for a quick recovery and we see him out on the Dean Court pitch again when fit.

Yes the other leg, put paras below.

The left-back was stretchered off midway through the first half of the Cherries’ Premier League fixture against Manchester City last weekend, having injured his right knee.

Following assessment by the club’s medical staff, Daniels saw a specialist on Wednesday and once the medical procedure is complete, he will be ruled out for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

AFC Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe, said: “We are devasted for Charlie, who had worked so hard to come back from his previous knee injury on his left knee in the second half of last season.

Totally gutted for Charlie, that sucks big time. Really would love to see him back next season but this isn't how we would want to be seeing out his AFCB career obviously.

Charlie will know he has at the very least a basic Legend status from the Support...that will help him....and being around the young players giving advice will help the club!

Gutted for Charlie, he has given his all and been absolutely brilliant for this club .... I’m sure he’s not done just yet.

I remember marvelling at his sheer desire when he put that cross in ... he was full tilt and ripped it back across at a right angle. Says a lot about him, desire and commitment that is second to none.

So gutted for him, hope we get to see him in the shirt again, but as with Franno, it seems time is against him. Was replaced so many times and kept stepping up and pushing pretenders back out of the side. Along with that a lovely bloke, bumped into him in Westbourne summer before the Championship season, I kinda waved and said it's gonna be a good season as he was crossing the road, he crossed back and had a quick chat about his hopes for the season
