David Brooks

Man, do any of you long-timers remember a year when so many key players have picked up injuries that take them out for weeks at a time? It has been relentless this season, but as RT says, others seem to pick up the slack.

2015-16 first season in the PL.

Leicester at home, Daniels injured, replaced by Mings who was then injured. Max Gradel also a bad injury in the same game, all in the first month of the season.

Later in the season Callum Wilson picked up the first of his bad injuries.

Gradel, Mings and Wilson were out for some time.

Daniels for a few weeks.

Really hope Ibe or Mousett get their heads banged together tomorrow and 1 of them steps up to the plate. Could be a big opportunity for them, especially seeing how far down the pecking order they are slipping.

However due to their failings on previous occasions, wouldn’t surprise me if Eddie goes back to round pegs in square holes for a couple weeks.

Thanks BTK. This year does stack up, though, doesn't it.

EH said that Solanke wasn’t fully match fit so expect to see him on the bench. Would think that either Ibe will start as a winger with Joshua up top on his own as he was on Wednesday or maybe Mousset alongside King with Stan filling in wide if he decides to start with 2 strikers.

3-5-2 possibly...

Could go 3 at the back with Mephum on the right side. Bring Lerma in for Surman (if fit), Stan in behind King and Fraser (if fit) or Solanke.
Cardiff generally only play one up top

Ideal opportunity for Jordan with Brooks being out. I reckon the arrival of Brooks has taken a huge amount of pressure from him and has shown that age and inexperience need not be a barrier.

Really hoping Fraser is ok for today.
Losing Brooks is a big setback, but as others have mentioned, it's an opportunity for someone else to step up
