Harry Arter

Interesting DJ, although The latest on twitter is it’s more likely to be a loan than a permanent transfer now. Which isn’t great business if there is any truth
The loan rumour is gathering pace at our end also. If so, he definitely won't be playing against you on Saturday.

Yes, plenty of speculation down our way about this. I know that you can never rely on anything online, but one of the more credible sources is saying that there are two medicals booked at Cardiff. One is Arter and the other one a foreign player.

Although fees are being bandied about, it is not clear whether this would be a purchase or a loan. If a loan, then he wouldn't be playing against you on Saturday.

Could this be the foreign player?

Cardiff City are understood to be interested in Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa.

The 24-year-old did not feature for Los Verdiblancos during his side's 2-1 pre-season win over the Bluebirds in the Welsh capital on Saturday having featured in Real Betis' victory at Bournemouth just 24 hours earlier.

It seems likely. There are a few Spanish reports being posted on our forum as well.

Find his form with a consistent run of games will do him good....ready to return to fight seriously for a starting place.

BREAKING NEWS

Sky sources understand Cardiff City make official approach to take Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter on season-long loan.

What does this mean practically? Would a club make an "official approach" without first making sure the player supported the move?

As I understand it, if the buying club is acting proactively it will sound out the player through his agent or some other contact prior to making an official approach. That is to save wasting time on a move the player would reject out of hand. If it is the player that is looking for the move then he will discuss some options with his agent who will then pitch him to various potential buying clubs.

Liverpool reportedly overstepped the mark with Van Dyck because the unofficial discussions went beyond a broad discussion of "what do you think" to sitting down with Klopp to discuss exactly where and how Liverpool would play him, before an official approach (allegedly!).

He hasn’t played a lot of football. 6 month loan to Cardiff, comes back fit and firing, would be like a new signing in January...

Would prefer him to stay though.

Will probably be a last minute call on this move. Need to make sure Spurs don’t come back with a crazy money bid for L. Cook before we let Arter/another midfielder go.

Not a great move for Harry though, is it ? Prospect of a very difficult season ahead, a real struggle, and very likely that a new manager will take over from NW by Xmas. Not exactly mouthwatering.....he'd be better off, from a confidence/morale point of view, joining an ambitious and successful Championship team.

Ditto DJ... assuming we’ll get a few million hopefully as a loan fee, throw that in the pot to add to the Mepham deal, and we hopefully get an Arter back that’s had a decent run of PL games under his belt... everyone wins...

However, time is not on Harry’s side and I wonder where both parties will be next summer? If Lerma works out, we could have completely moved on from Harry, and find ourselves trying to sell him again next summer... for less money...

Whatever happens, good luck to him...

Allegedly he has turned down Cardiff but Watfor are interested in buying him, yet to meet our asking price of £10,000,000 though.
