Harry Arter

One of my favourite goals in that entire season!
F**k sake give it ere - BOSH

Remember Forest away when the ball broke to Pugh at the edge of the box and Pugh smashed in a fantastic equaliser!

Both Pugh and Arter have given their all for us and we wouldn't be in the Prem without them!

Good on Harry for being on a decent Prem contract which is well deserved. He has had dips in form in the past and has always come through.

Thanks for all you have done for us Harry and good luck for the future.

Agree he has been exceptional also agree he does not not command 30M however to balance things neither would Surman or Gosling. In my opinion Harry has been far more important & influential than S & G & is also a far better player.

Pity he didn’t show it at the start of last season when given a run in the team.

I like Harry but he wasn’t up to his usual standards, hence why Cook,Gosling & Surman were ahead of him.

I agree, in a season of many highlights, that has to be one of the top moments.
We could have won 6-0 that day , they couldn’t live with us and Arter’s goal was a beauty !!!!!!
Harry himself has since stated that was the game which convinced the team they could really get promotion.

That Boro goal was a beaut. Ironically another of my favourite Harry howitzers came at Cardiff and was a key goal in our promotion drive. I took a Newcastle fan to that game and he has followed Arters career since. He texted me ‘purrlleease’ when the rumour broke that Newcastle was interested.

A real shame he has gone. One of my all time favourite players who was the metronome to our success. People claiming Gosling is better makes me chuckle. Still it’s all about opinions.

Let’s hope we see him back next season.

Transcript of what Harry had to say after signing today......

“I’m delighted to be here,” Harry began. “It’s a big change for me having been at the same club for so long. It’s a new challenge, and one that I’m very excited for. The challenge for the Club is similar to the challenge for me; it’s going to be a long hard season, but one that the Club is prepared for, and I certainly am too. I’m really looking forward to it.

“Hopefully I can be a positive influence. Every player wants to affect the team in a good way, both on and off the pitch. I’ve had some great experiences with Bournemouth, getting promoted and staying in the Premier League, but now I’m looking to create similar experiences here.

“I’ve spoken with Neil, he’s got a great squad here. No player ever comes in and has the right to play, and I’m no different either. I’m looking forward to trying to get into the team, but the most important thing is that we have options and depth, and I certainly think we’ve got that."

Arter expressed his excitement to get started with the Bluebirds, although he will have to wait until he can make his debut. As the midfielder has arrived on a loan deal, he is ineligible to face his parent club on the opening day of the season.

“I think it’s a difficult one. They’ve been a big part of my life for so long. I’m going to head back tomorrow ready to watch the game. It’s been a bit of a late dash to get up here.

“I’ve played here a few times, against Cardiff and against Wales. The atmosphere was electric, and it’s a great city. I’m at a Club that I’m very proud to be part of, and hopefully I can show the crowd what I can do.

He concluded: “The most important thing this year is that we give the crowd something to cheer about, and I’ve got no doubt Neil will get the lads up for every game. I’m sure the fans will enjoy it.”

Thanks for that. Having lived 4 very happy years in Cardiff and during that time attended several Bluebirds games, they’ll always be a team I keep an eye out for - and especially so now one of our recent club legends is now playing there!
Good luck this season, Caerdydd, after Saturday of course. ;-)

Harry has been a great servant to the club over the years without doubt, but I have always had a problem in accepting his continuing arguing with referees and petulance in not getting decisions in his favour. But I wish him all the best in his new club.

have always thought Harry was a one manager player, will be interesting to see if Warnock can get the best out of him.
good luck to him, been a legend for us.

Which post? The one with the wrong date they signed, wouldn’t name him, all top secret?

I’ve announced the player, club etc 30 hours before it was announced. Happy days. Not one to go on about it though like some people...!

Hello. Just got up after a night on the undiluted ribena?
