Junior Stanislas

Always more obvious how much influence he has on our attacking play when he’s injured. When he’s out of the side we very often look like we’re missing ideas and creativity.

Sky highlighted his stats before the game today. More than just 7 goals and 3 assists, but chances created, passes into the box etc.

Fingers crossed he’s back sooner than feared.

He’s a good player with great stats this season but, like most of the players, his actual in-game performances were pretty bad just prior to his injury imo.

the trouble is, the sooner he's back, the sooner he'll be out again. we CANNOT rely on a few individuals..... we need to be a functioning team

Might need a few games to get back up to speed but if he returns to how he was playing we’ll be back amongst the goals again.

Good news. His numbers were good last season. Clearly much better suited to playing on the left than the right. And in terms of his injury record, last season he actually played more than Danjuma. Only question is can he fit into the high pressing style?
