Lewis Cook

Just really pleased Lewis has got back to the level that we know he is capable of. Credit to him after 2 horrific injuries. If he stays fit he will be a key player in the coming weeks and will get us back to the PL. Also glad to see Kelly back on form after Tuesday.

You diplomat, you:)

Lewis has certainly been a beneficiary of Lerma's suspension, and has certainly been an improving and indeed top performer in recent weeks. The first touch, aggression etc is more along the lines of what we want to see. No reason to change that central midfield midweek, keep as is and see how we go.

Not sure why some have taken this as a negative thread. The OP posted at half time so clearly saw something to prompt what he wrote.

Despite what some posters say captains DO matter,’especially when they’re within a team that doesn’t have enough natural leaders. One player who leads by example can make all the difference, and when Lewis is on form as he clearly is right now then that inspires people around him

Seemed to lead the chat in the pre kick off huddle. I imagine it would not be a good look to take the captaincy away from someone mid season. Likely he will be captain next depending on in’s and outs off season.

also we don’t know what happens off field so perhaps it is the in dressing room situation where Kelly does the leadership?

Eh? We win so we don't talk about this?

It's shocks me that a club and fanbase that birthed Eddie Howe and benefited from his eye to detail and never being happy gets so upset on a message board by an observation, made at half time by the way, about the captaincy.

It's actually hilarious how some people come on a message board and don't actually want to discuss performances. The "look at the table" posters are getting pretty tiresome to be honest.
This. This. And this again. Glad to see the likes of Boris finally getting called out.

Cook has really stepped up last few games. Quality player, particularly at this level. Very comfortable under pressure with the ball at his feet. Makes difficult things look easy. Tough cookie as well, can see he's made of stern 'northern' steel.

I think he has great attributes that can go unoticed. High intelligence, aware of whats going on around him, anticipation, vision, composure, positoning etc in addition to great technical ability. Not the most flamboyant, but doesn't need to be if we have more flair/creativity around him. A real asset.

As are the Parkerball people...By the way 'eye to detail' so arrogant that we had no planned practice matches for the Prem re start...blinding

No apparently we would have stayed up if it wasn;t for that... No one else had to deal with covid lockdown in the PL did they?Apparently it really hit us, but not the others...
